• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and month-end close. • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. • Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reporting, executive reporting packages, and supporting schedules. • Maintain financial integrity within the general ledger and ensure accounting records, transactions, and reconciliations are accurate and properly documented. • Identify opportunities to improve close timelines, reporting processes, system workflows, reconciliations, and overall accounting efficiency. • Manage mortgage-specific accounting activity, including loan funding, loan sales, gain-on-sale accounting, warehouse line activity, investor proceeds, servicing-related items, and related reconciliations. • Oversee warehouse line reconciliations, including funding activity, paydowns, fees, interest, outstanding balances, and investor settlements. • Partner with Capital Markets, Secondary Marketing, Treasury, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure accurate reporting and alignment across loan sale, funding, and investor activity. • Support cash management, liquidity planning, and daily funding requirements in partnership with senior leadership. • Develop, improve, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and documentation to support compliance, audit readiness, investor requirements, and scalable growth. • Serve as a key point of contact for external audits, internal audits, investor reviews, warehouse lender requirements, regulatory exams, and other financial reporting requests. • Ensure accounting processes and reporting standards are aligned with GAAP, company policies, investor expectations, and applicable mortgage banking requirements. • Strengthen internal controls and help build scalable accounting workflows that support future growth, expanded product offerings, and increased loan volume. • Review and analyze financial statements from prospective partners Newfi may purchase loans from to support partner due diligence, risk assessment, and overall business decision-making. • Partner with Executive Leadership, FP&A, Treasury, Capital Markets, Secondary Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Sales to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, expense management, production reporting, profitability analysis, and operational KPIs. • Provide meaningful financial analysis to leadership, including cost-saving opportunities, revenue growth drivers, margin trends, production performance, expense controls, and profitability insights. • Assist in developing financial dashboards, reporting tools, and executive-level reporting packages that provide greater visibility into company performance. • Support strategic planning, operational finance, and business initiatives that help drive financial discipline and long-term growth. • Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members while promoting accuracy, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Partner cross-functionally with finance and non-finance leaders to improve communication, reporting accuracy, and operational alignment. • Take on broader finance leadership responsibilities over time, including increased involvement in forecasting, strategic planning, operational finance, executive reporting, and CFO-level business partnership. • Serve as a trusted finance partner to Newfi’s leadership team by bringing strong accounting discipline, analytical insight, and a growth-oriented mindset.
• Evaluate and approve new and renewal wholesale and correspondent accounts, ensuring all documentation and financials meet company standards. • Conduct due diligence reviews, including licensing, entity verification, KYC, credit reports, financial statements, insurance, and operational history. • Monitor and address sanctions alerts related to brokers, loan officers and correspondent lenders; ensure resolution aligns with compliance standards. • Collaborate with onboarding and sales teams to support wholesale and correspondent lifecycle management, from application to renewal. • Help tailor risk mitigation strategies such as refine and re-evaluate approval standards and ongoing monitoring protocols. • Extract and analyze reports using Surge, Excel, and other internal systems to maintain updated status trackers and dashboards. • Send wholesale and correspondent Agreements via DocuSign, track completions and modifications to agreements, and maintain compliance records. • Provide ongoing support to Account Executives and Sales Managers, including outreach, training reminders, and renewal communications. • Assist with audit and exam requests regarding Counterparty Risk • Provide updates to Leadership, at decided upon cadence, regarding application and renewal activity. • Provide technical assistance to Wholesale and Correspondent applicants needing assistance with initial or renewal applications. • Perform additional wholesale and correspondent related tasks and account maintenance duties as needed. • Demonstrate conduct and decision-making that reflect Newfi’s core values and culture.

• This role is designed to be a trainee position for an Account Executive role. • The Associate AE role will require that the Account Manager I duties have been satisfactorily performed. • The main responsibility of an Associate AE is to support existing Senior AE’s already in market. • This person will actively call on existing Approved Accounts to help develop new business in addition to calling on Prospects assigned to Sr AEs in market to get those accounts approved. • In addition to the Account Manger responsibilities, AE training will also be implemented during the Junior AE’s tenure with eventual succession into the Account Executive role (upon management discretion). • Identifying and understanding the Client’s issue and needs in order to quickly escalate them over to the appropriate team to finalize the solution for the Client. • Answering all inbound phone calls, e-mails, and chats that come into the Wholesale Sales Support team with a great attitude every time, ensuring our clients are left with a timely and memorable experience. • Responsible for identifying and escalating each Client issue within the prescribed timeframe from when you receive it. • Clarifying the Client’s issue and tracking appropriately within our in-house systems. • Simplifying Client issues and providing feedback to the appropriate team leaders affected by the issue at hand, in order to improve our client service and processes.

• Partner closely with hiring managers and sales leadership to understand hiring needs, production goals, and ideal candidate profiles. • Manage full-cycle recruiting for mortgage sales roles, including positions within Wholesale, Consumer Direct, and Correspondent channels. • Source and engage top-performing sales talent through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and direct outreach. • Conduct candidate screenings and interviews to assess sales experience, production background, relationship-building skills, and overall fit. • Present qualified candidates to hiring leaders with thoughtful recommendations and market insight. • Build and maintain pipelines of passive and active mortgage sales talent for current and future openings. • Deliver a strong candidate experience through clear communication, timely follow-up, and a professional recruiting process. • Track recruiting activity, pipeline progress, and hiring updates within the applicant tracking system. • Partner with leadership on recruiting strategies, talent mapping, and outreach efforts to support business growth.
