Role Description Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, this position works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families served. This position works closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners, providing advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community. This position does require on-call time and flexible work hours, and will serve Braxton, Lewis, Upshur, and Randolph counties. Pay: $45,000 annually Responsibilities - Actively supports, represents, and extends the mission, vision, and values of the organization. - Provides case management, transportation, and other professional services, meeting or exceeding established outcomes thresholds on behalf of persons served. - Travels daily, to provide community-based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements. - Completes all required documentation in a timely manner. - Completes all required training in a timely manner. - Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community, including but not limited to, mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services. - Regularly reviews and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals. - Establishes and maintains strong relationships with assigned foster parents and families of origin. - Assists in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth’s primary family or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth’s case plan. - Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served. - Participates in the Continuous Quality Improvement activities on a monthly/quarterly basis. - Actively participates in the weekly supervision process. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution. - 2 years of work experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred. - A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served. - Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers. - Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function. - Demonstrates tolerance and respect for the ideas and actions of others. - Capacity to effectively work with and be respectful and sensitive to persons from various cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds. - Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 8pm-8am The remote Crisis Support Specialist works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families served by the National Youth Advocate Program. This position is responsible for assisting with afterhours calls from the answering service to provide support, answer questions, address comments and/or concerns and respond with the appropriate actions. Working at NYAP Phone reimbursement Responsibilities Assist with after-hours inbound calls from the answering service. Gather information for incident reports from foster parents, write incident reports, and make appropriate notifications to custodial agencies. Assess service recipient and community partner needs. Provide telephone support to callers. Notify on-call staff of incidents that require regional intervention. Manage afterhours placement referrals received while on shift. Consult with regional staff as needed to identify appropriate matches for youth referred. Coordinate with custodial agencies, foster parents, and the region to make placements. Complete all placement paperwork. Assist with locating afterhours emergency respite as needed. Assist foster parents to de-escalate crisis situations. Document all interventions and behavioral health services provided via phone. Log data regarding afterhours calls and placement requests. Assist with completion of required documentation for placements made during the day. Provide follow up communication to regions. Notify Service Reception that a placement notifies service reception team if a placement need continues into the next business day. Notify the referral source of the outcome of the referral. Complete Medicaid documentation when applicable. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in human services, social work or behavioral/social sciences. 1 year of experience in youth services, preferably with direct experience in child welfare, or foster care; preferred Must have the ability to be and stay alert after-hours; have excellent listening and speaking skills. This is a remote opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Partner who speaks both English and Spanish fluently. The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for assisting with the successful execution of end-to-end recruiting activities for our program of 500 employees and growing. This position can be located in-office in Columbus Ohio or be fully remote for the right dedicated individual located in the United States. RESPONSIBILITIES Performing all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies. Working with hiring managers to evaluate talent requirements and fulfill hiring plans. Ensuring hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team all use the approved job descriptions to understand the job requirements for positions and corresponding compensation packages. Marketing open positions following the recruitment strategy. Using search engine optimized (SEO) job postings that are based on the approved job descriptions, post positions according to the recruiting strategy. Marketing might include job boards, social media, LinkedIn searches, past applicants, e-blasts, employee referrals, colleges and universities, job fairs and hiring events, and other unique marketing methods. Screening and interviewing candidates. Analyzing candidate credentials to the job requirements and skills needed during initial application screening and initial phone interviews. Determining the candidates that best fit the requirements. Presenting best-fit candidates to hiring managers. Facilitating scheduling in-person or virtual interviews between the hiring manager and the best-fit candidates if requested. Communicating with hiring managers about the status of open positions. Conducting regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting activities and make necessary adjustments to meet hiring needs. Ensuring hiring managers have interviewed candidates. Incorporating hiring managers’ feedback about candidates to refine search and screening of subsequent candidates. Role Description Under the oversight of the Executive Director, the Foster Care Program Director is responsible for the operational success of programs statewide. This position conducts strategic analysis planning to identify and streamline efficiency processes across statewide program operations. It utilizes strategic development programming to respond to local community needs while supporting NYAP’s mission, vision, and values. - Oversee and lead statewide programs. - Evaluate program performance and operational efficiency by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics. - Identify and implement strategies and establish program standards for quality service, growth and expansion, and employee and team development. - Experience in Florida's foster care system, foster home management, and case management. - Create and present training targeting program sustainability and growth, CQI, and employee and team development. - Responsible for risk identification and management. - Collaborate and align staff with corporate resources. - Liaison with external stakeholders including professional, regulatory, and government agencies. - Lead and support supervisors, program staff, and contractors. - Provide supervision as designated by Executive Director. - Designated appointee for the Executive Director, Program Director, and Program Supervisors in their absence. - Assist in direct services provision as needed. - Submit strategy and operations reports as requested.
