Role Description The Regional Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and expanding the market presence within the assigned region. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that align with the company's overall objectives. Additionally, the Regional Sales Manager will cultivate strong relationships with key distributors and national accounts to enhance collaboration and maximize sales volume. Ultimately, this role is crucial for achieving revenue goals and establishing a competitive edge in the marketplace for unit load products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Develop and achieve annual sales and profitability plans - Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth - Generate new leads and opportunities through cold calling on the phone, through email, and in person - Use company-provided prospecting tools and networking to identify and contact decision makers at prospective customers - Follow up on leads generated through other Millwood channels (trade shows, website, other RSMs) - Develop and present proposals that address each potential customer’s defined needs - Negotiate pricing for all products and services with new and existing direct accounts - Maintain and expand revenue and profitability with existing accounts - Provide local support for National Account customer locations that are in the territory - Provide sales support for Millwood-owned operations (where applicable) - Document all activity in Salesforce - Represent Millwood at Industry Trade Shows, as assigned - Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications - Ability to conform and adapt to core values and culture - Exceptional verbal communication skills, with a formal and conversational English; bilingual with Spanish a plus - Succinct and clear written communication skills in English - Detail-oriented - Superior organizational skills - Ability to maintain a professional demeanor - Ability to be a team player - Conflict management skills - Project management skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Ability to work with cross-functional departments - Strong basic math skills Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (Preferred) - Proven experience in regional sales management or a similar role - Strong understanding of sales territory management and distributor sales - Proven strong analytic and problem-solving capabilities - Ability to travel within the territory 3-5 days per week - Availability for overnight travel within your territory and to corporate meetings, events; or as required - Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and Outlook - Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car and plane - Must be able to rent transportation when required Benefits - Pay includes a competitive base salary plus sales incentives Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
