Role Description As a Senior DevOps Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our de-coupled Drupal systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance content deployment processes, optimize system performance, and contribute to the overall success of our digital solutions. What you’ll do: - Proactively maintain and enhance de-coupled Drupal systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. - Identify and implement improvements to streamline deployment processes. - Rapidly respond to and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum availability. Qualifications - At least 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, or similar role. - Proven experience leading a team of DevOps Engineers with a focus on maintaining and enhancing de-coupled Drupal systems for large government organizations. - You employ strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and build consensus across a broad range of backgrounds, organizational levels and personalities. - You have a developer background and insider understanding how DevOps integrates with developers. - You have a strong track record of incubating/building DevSecOps capabilities, API platform strategies, driving platform execution with engineering and launching cloud solutions. - Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices. - Expertise in AWS services and infrastructure optimization. - Experience scaling very large statically-generated websites using technologies like Next.js, Gatsby, or Hugo. - Experience integrating statically-generated websites with database-driven backends. - Experience working with Drupal as a decoupled CMS. - A strong background working with the challenges of integrating many disparate systems with each other. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, which requires United States Citizenship. Requirements - SALARY RANGE: $165,000 - $170,000 - The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. - The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: - The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience. - The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs. - Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation. - This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include: - Performance-based bonuses. - Company-paid training and/or certifications. - Referral bonuses. • Provide cross-team QA support to developers supporting a large data centric project • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and cloud engineers to ensure the accuracy, security, and performance of complex data systems • Help validate data integrity, troubleshoot system workflows, and verify that solutions meet rigorous quality standards in a classified AWS environment

• Design user-centered interfaces for AI-enabled compliance dashboards and analytics tools • Translate complex financial and technical workflows into intuitive, low-friction user experiences • Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative prototyping with government stakeholders • Develop wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes aligned to secure DoW environments • Partner with Full Stack Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and Financial SMEs to ensure cohesive product delivery • Advocate for clarity, usability, and adoption across highly regulated operational environments

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and encryption mechanisms to ensure the organization's networks and systems remain secure. • Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications. • Develop and implement incident response plans to effectively address security breaches, incidents, and breaches. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures. • Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents. • Analyze and investigate anomalies and security breaches, taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, software development, and compliance, to integrate security into all phases of the development lifecycle and ensure a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity. • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of security processes, procedures, and configurations. Prepare detailed reports on security findings, incidents, and actions taken.

• Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment pipelines across multiple concurrent projects with varying data modalities (time-series sensor data, video, images, documents, and metadata). • Develop and manage cloud-native data services including object storage workflows, vector database integration, and structured data warehousing to support multi-modal AI/ML systems. • Work closely with AI/ML engineers to operationalize data pipelines that feed training, inference, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workloads in production. • Establish data quality, lineage, and governance practices across projects that are maturing from prototype to product, bringing structure and repeatability to evolving data ecosystems. • Support the processing and organization of unstructured data (video files, PDFs, technical manuals) into formats suitable for embedding generation, semantic search, and summarization. • Present technical approaches and data architecture decisions to both technical teammates and non-technical stakeholders.

• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI / CD pipelines for M&S applications and services • Integrate automated testing, code quality checks, SAST or DAST tools, vulnerability scanning, and deployment controls • Build and manage Docker and Kubernetes clusters supporting simulation platforms on AWS and hybrid environments • Operate secure cloud environments using IaC, configuration as code, and automated security controls • Produce SBOMs, scan findings, and pipeline documentation to support RMF and ATO compliance • Implement observability frameworks for logging, metrics, and tracing and resolve performance bottlenecks • Provide remediation guidance for findings triggered by automated code and container scanning • Support platform deployment and readiness events that may require TDY travel • Work closely with developers, security engineers, and PMO to standardize and modernize legacy delivery workflows
