This role is integral to a high-impact initiative that will modernize legacy financial, procurement, and asset systems by enabling data readiness for transition to SAP S/4HANA. The LFM will apply federal financial accounting expertise to lead data quality and validation efforts across complex financial domains and collaborate closely with both government stakeholders and MetaPhase&rsquo;s FSM Data Management team. Role Description MetaPhase is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Data Architect with 7+ years of experience to provide hands-on technical expertise with data architecture, data modeling, and data engineering tasks in an Azure environment. This role will provide both hands-on technical leadership and people management for a team of three data engineers supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives. In addition, the ideal candidate will lead database development work and help coordinate tasks with the web developers to ensure a robust integrated solution is built. What You Will Be Doing - Act as a servant leader and mentor a lean high performing team of data professionals. - Manage workload prioritization, sprint planning, and delivery oversight for database related tasks. - Maintain and enhance data models (ERDs), Data Dictionaries (DD), Source-to-Target mappings (STM) and other data related documentation to sustain existing operations while building new analytical capabilities. - Design, develop and maintain scripts for Azure SQL database that create/modify database objects (tables, views, constraints, triggers) and data integration routines (ETL) that support change data capture. - Design, develop and maintain Azure Data Factory object and components, Elastic Job Agents and Azure Functions that support database activities. - Leverage Python and PowerShell as needed for automation and data cleaning. - Review database deployment plans for scheduled releases and provide feedback. - Peer review database code to provide feedback and coach team members. - Create and maintain other technical documentation relating to data architecture. - Troubleshoot or assist team members with troubleshooting data issues to identify root causes, propose recommendations, and implement solutions that will improve data availability, increase data quality, and optimize performance. - Coordinate and act as a liaison with other groups including OCIO, Azure DBAs and Engineers. - Managing Power BI workspaces and on-premises MS data gateways. Gather requirements and develop Power Platform solutions while presenting updates to clients. Collaborate with an Agile team to enhance program management and data quality, while mentoring other team members in application development.

• Apply test-driven development principles to develop, enhance, and sustain medium to large complex applications using a combination of .NET and JavaScript frameworks • Refine and optimize the existing Azure architecture to improve interoperability, scalability, performance, reliability, and security • Enhance and optimize applications hosted in Azure App Service, ensuring adherence to cloud-native best practices • Collaborate with customer product owners and cross-functional agile teams to support working sessions and to evaluate, define, and prioritize requirements/features/user stories • Contribute to technical research/analysis of user stories and participate in agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement and sprint planning • Complete assigned user stories by designing and developing new features/components or major enhancements to existing software while ensuring compliance with Cyber Security and Federal IT security standards (i.e., NIST) as well as Section 508 accessibility requirements • Conduct unit testing and collaborate with testers to address issues/bugs, and support the team with documentation required by the client • Support demos and provide technical support to end-users for UAT and/or production issues

Design, develop, and maintain secure applications using Java and Python, support microservices and RESTful APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and conduct testing and code reviews to ensure software meets security requirements.

Enhance developer experience by maintaining tools for secure code delivery, implement secure configurations in collaboration with teams, and ensure compliance with government security standards while supporting incident response protocols.
