The Executive Director, Legacy Foundations, is responsible for overseeing and strengthening the major gifts programs for Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center, Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center and Legacy Silverton Medical Center. This role serves alongside a counterpart who is responsible for major gifts for Legacy Emanual Medical Center, Randall Children’s Hospital, Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center and Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, as well as a broader philanthropy team. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching a team of major gift officers, driving donor strategy, carrying a portfolio of donors, effectively managing foundation boards, and partnering closely with hospital presidents and service line leaders. This position reports to the Vice President of Philanthropy and works closely with the VP in cultivating a portfolio of principal gift prospects of $250,000+. Th Executive Director also serves as an active member of the philanthropy leadership team. Successful candidates will bring a strong background in and passion for major gift work with a preference for principal gift ($1M+) experience and an eagerness to join a team poised for significant growth and evolution with the next 1-2 years. Top candidates will be mission-driven leaders, experienced in donor-centered philanthropy strategies, and comfortable leading teams through change with a balance of excellence and high emotional intelligence. Key Accountabilities and Essential Functions - Develops and oversees planning, implementation, and evaluation of a strong major gifts program with a focus on gifts of $25,000 and above. - Responsible for working with board members to maximize the Board’s effectiveness in support of a strong major gift fundraising effort. Works collaboratively with board members to develop a clear set of roles and responsibilities, appropriate committee structures and a recruitment process that is supportive of building a strong culture of philanthropy. - Responsible for building and developing strong partnerships with key physicians to aid in the fundraising effort and to increase the grateful patient pipeline. - Partners and collaborates with Vice President of Philanthropy and central philanthropy team to ensure best practices for fundraising, including planned giving strategies, grant development, annual giving, events and stewardship. - Recruits and retains talented and effective staff members. Communicates clear expectations and fundraising goals specific to major and planned gift fundraising. - Works closely with philanthropy leadership team to evolve philanthropy fundraising operations to meet healthcare fundraising best practices and maintains a focus on continuous improvement and fundraising excellence. - Supports the establishment of a Legacy Health-wide “culture of philanthropy,” as reflected in the level of positive involvement from foundation board trustees, physicians, volunteer groups, and employees. - Serves as a public speaker on behalf of Legacy Health when appropriate. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree in business, law, health or academic field preferred. Experience: Ten years progressively more leadership fundraising experience in a nonprofit healthcare environment, preferably in the Northwest. Knowledge of, and leadership experience in, the full range of health care fund development programs and procedures including major gifts, annual gifts, prospect research, and planned gifts. Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations. Responsibilities With physician oversight, the Cardiac Device Technician performs independently in the technical management of implanted cardiac pacemaker and ICD devices. Manages device patients and their care implementing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other device team members. Able to perform basic interrogation, adjustments to programming as per protocol or specific order, and able to troubleshoot basic, intermediate and advanced device issues. Performs device clinic triage including patient instruction and education regarding device and remote monitoring. Qualifications Education: High School or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Pacemaker and ICD Technology: Minimum of 6 months training in pacemaker technology, to include training in device classes with all companies from beginning to intermediate to advanced. This is a limited duration position. Responsibilities The Compensation Consultant provides complex compensation support to leadership for assigned areas to include job evaluation, competitive pay analysis, and assisting in the development of market competitive compensation policies and programs. Designs and implements pay solutions, strategies and programs through strong communication and influence, while also demonstrating the ability to pivot with changing circumstances and provide cost savings and sustainable solutions. This role also conducts benchmarking and data analysis to formulate recommendations that ensure competitive, cost-effective, and legally compliant compensation programs and practices. Strong proficiency with Excel and healthcare experience preferred. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field or equivalent experience required. Experience: Minimum four years' of relevant Human Resources experience working in Compensation or equivalent required. Skills: - Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and customer service skills to be able to interact effectively with all levels of personnel within and outside of the Legacy Health community. - Proficiency using computers: Excel, databases, PowerPoint, and Word software. - Advanced technical knowledge requirements include mathematical and statistical skills for data analysis. - Ability to work with detailed data. - Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously meeting deadlines. - A thorough understanding of wage and hour laws.
