Qualifications Required Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in forensic accounting or financial litigation consulting, with meaningful focus on matrimonial or family law matters. - Foundation of testifying experience required. - Bachelor's Degree. - Experience managing engagements and supervising junior staff. - Exposure to expert witness work and family law proceedings required. - Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; ability to translate complex financial findings for legal audiences. This role supports industrial, insurance, legal, and transactional clients addressing complex soil, groundwater, sediment, and waste‑related challenges under federal and state regulatory frameworks. In addition to remediation and corrective action work, the role may involve transaction‑driven environmental due diligence, redevelopment and brownfield support, long‑term remediation program management, and advisory support related to environmental claims and remediation cost evaluation. This is a senior seller‑doer role requiring the ability to independently originate, develop, and sustain client relationships while also serving as a technical and project leader. The successful candidate is expected to bring an established network of client relationships and demonstrate a consistent ability to convert those relationships into awarded work. Held is hiring for a Senior Technical Director to join its team within the Environmental & Risk Advisory Service Line. This position will focus on air compliance consulting and leadership related to project planning and development, regulatory compliance, permitting, and field services. The position will require demonstrated experience in and knowledge of the Clean Air Act (CAA) and related federal, state, and local requirements; air emissions reporting procedures; air emissions calculations; air emissions inventories; and air compliance auditing. The successful candidate must be capable of managing varying priorities to provide high-quality project deliverables completed on time and within budget. The candidate will need to demonstrate initiative and critical thinking to customize work approaches, present information, and issue resolutions. Industrial air compliance experience is preferred. Job Responsibilities - Leadership: Lead, recruit, and mentor a team of existing and prospective air compliance scientists, engineers, and/or other professionals and foster a collaborative and productive work environment. - Business Development: Leverage and develop relationships to expand and generate client leads and secure contracts in key industry sectors, including insurance, heavy industry, energy, and manufacturing. - Project Oversight: Manage multiple large and complex projects, either single or multi-site, from inception to completion. - Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and deliver high quality work product on complex air compliance regulatory issues, including collaborating with other service lines to effectively serve diverse clients. - Permitting & Compliance: Advise clients on permitting requirements and develop timely and exceptional quality permitting submissions, including any required air emission inventories, emissions calculations, and other compliance documentation. - Regulatory: Develop timely and innovative regulatory compliance strategies and effectively communicate with regulatory agencies in multiple jurisdictions about regulatory and/or legislative requirements. - Project Development: Assist clients in scoping and planning related to air-focused regulatory requirements and potential impacts to air quality. - Technical Reporting: Produce high quality technical reports and perform QA/QC on project reports prepared by other air compliance team members. Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field. - At least 10-15 years of air compliance consulting experience, including demonstrated expertise in the Clean Air Act (CAA) and related federal, state, and local regulations; air emissions reporting procedures; air emissions calculations; air emissions inventories; and air compliance auditing. - Existing book of business required, with a demonstrated ability to generate and maintain client relationships and revenue. - Industrial air compliance experience preferred. - Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite. - Demonstrated ability to prepare concise, accurate technical documents. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Strong business judgment and a team-oriented mindset. - Proven financial management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
