• Own North America DTC Performance: Drive and deliver against North American direct-to-consumer revenue targets by improving site metrics. This includes analyzing sales trends and customer behavior to inform growth strategies and meet or exceed online sales goals. • Team Leadership & Strategic Support: Supervise and mentor the eCommerce Specialist (Stock Planner) and eCommerce Content Specialist, overseeing their projects and day-to-day tasks. Act as the right-hand to the Director of eCommerce NA, stepping in as needed to lead initiatives and special projects that improve the website or drive new revenue. • Website Operations & Technology Management: Lead and manage the North American site operations through a platform migration. Ensure the online store is running properly and coordinate with Digital Product and IT teams to resolve any technical issues. Maintain a deep understanding of eCommerce systems (e.g. SearchSpring for on-site search and merchandising, Akeneo for product information management) and ensure these tools are fully leveraged. • Merchandising & Content Oversight: Ensure the online product catalog is optimized and up-to-date. Work with the eCommerce Specialists (and global teams) to coordinate timely product launches, accurate product data and pricing on the website. Optimize product content and data to create high-converting product detail pages and a consistent, engaging shopping experience. • User Experience & Conversion Optimization: Create and execute strategies to continually improve the on-site user experience and customer journey, with the goal of boosting conversion rates. Partner with the Digital Product team to test and launch new website features or A/B experiments. • Analytics & Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key website metrics on a weekly and monthly basis (traffic, conversion, AOV, bounce rate, etc.). Use Google Analytics and other tools to monitor site performance and customer behavior, identifying areas of concern or opportunity. Analyze data trends to generate actionable insights and propose tactics to improve key KPIs. • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Digital Marketing, CRM, Inventory Planning, Operations, Creative, and Customer Service to synchronize eCommerce efforts with broader campaigns and initiatives. Coordinate with marketing and stock planning teams to ensure product availability for DTC. Address trading challenges in real time (e.g. sudden stock issues or spikes in demand) by liaising with relevant teams, so that we maximize sales opportunities and maintain a seamless customer experience. • SEO & Content Strategy Alignment: Develop and support North America-specific SEO strategy to grow organic traffic and enhance search rankings. Ensure that site content and ecommerce campaigns are aligned with global brand standards and messaging and collaborate with global eCommerce counterparts to maintain consistency across regions. • Continuous Improvement & Industry Awareness: Stay up-to-date with eCommerce industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. The Commercial Retail Manager is responsible for protecting, embedding and elevating retail standards across Jellycat’s physical retail environments, acting as a highly visible, hands‑on presence in market. Reporting into the Senior Commercial Retail Manager, this role operates as Jellycat’s day‑to‑day “eyes and ears” in store, ensuring brand standards are met, maintained and continuously improved once environments are live. The role does not own commercial targets or sales budgets; its focus is on execution quality, consistency, and partnership excellence. This is a field‑based role, spending the majority of time on the road visiting stores, supporting partners, observing execution, and addressing issues early to uphold Jellycat’s retail ambition. • Driving development of our headless Shopify storefront using Shopify Hydrogen, delivering features across both client and server-rendered routes • Building and maintaining custom storefront components, templates, and shared utilities optimized for conversion, speed, and scalability • Integrating Shopify Storefront API, Admin API, and third-party services (CMS, search, reviews, subscriptions, personalization, etc.) • Implementing and supporting server-side integration logic and commerce workflows (sessions, middleware, API orchestration) • Optimizing site performance across client, server, and edge (Core Web Vitals, page load times, Lighthouse scores) • Contributing to deployment pipelines and environment management (Shopify Oxygen, Vercel, Netlify, or similar) • Ensuring accessibility (WCAG), SEO best practices, and cross-browser compatibility • Troubleshooting and resolving production issues quickly and thoughtfully across storefront and integrations • Contributing to technical architecture decisions and best practices, especially around data-fetching patterns and integration design • Staying current with Shopify, Hydrogen, and headless commerce advancements across APIs, hosting, and performance
