Role Description We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to help lead one of the most exciting areas we’re exploring right now: AI-powered communication experiences, including our AI Receptionist product. This is a zero-to-one product space where we’re rapidly prototyping, learning from customers, and figuring out what great looks like in real time. It’s a role for someone who enjoys ambiguity, loves building, and is excited by the idea of helping shape both a product and a team as they grow. - Help shape and deliver AI-powered communication experiences that create meaningful value for clinics and patients, balancing speed, experimentation, and thoughtful execution. - Lead as a player-coach by contributing directly to technical implementation while also helping teammates stay aligned, supported, and focused on the highest-impact work. - Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Jane AI, and Engineering partners to turn emerging ideas into real customer experiences, communicating openly and iterating quickly as we learn. - Build strong feedback loops with customers by participating in pilots, evaluating product behaviour in real-world scenarios, and using those insights to continuously improve the experience. - Foster a curious, adaptable, and optimistic team environment where people feel energized to learn new technologies, explore evolving AI capabilities, and solve hard problems together. Qualifications - Experience leading engineering teams as an established manager, able to hit the ground running from day one. - Strong people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and supporting the growth of senior and staff-level engineers. - Experience building and shipping customer-facing software products, ideally in fast-moving or high-growth environments where adaptability and ownership were essential. - Strong technical implementation skills with the ability to contribute directly to product development, review technical decisions, and collaborate deeply with engineers. This role is expected to remain hands-on. - Experience working with AI-powered products or foundation-model-based features in production, including applications involving conversational AI, real-time interactions, automation, or intelligent workflows. - Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, collaboration, and communication, whether formally as a manager, team lead, or senior technical contributor coordinating cross-functional work. - Comfort operating in ambiguous, zero-to-one environments where priorities evolve quickly and teams experiment, learn, and iterate toward product-market fit. Benefits - Annual salary range of $158,400 to $247,500, reflecting the full growth journey someone might take in the role. - Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $188,100. - Regular career development conversations with your manager, with compensation growing as you gain experience and contribute meaningfully to our mission. - Comprehensive benefits package available. Company Description Jane is a founder-led, high-growth SaaS company born in North Vancouver, British Columbia. We’re now a team of more than 700 people working remotely across Canada, the US, and the UK, united by our mission to help the helpers. - We build the products and tools that thousands of clinics rely on every day to run their businesses, care for their patients, and grow their communities. - Every person at Jane plays an important role in how we show up for our customers, being deeply connected to their needs and obsessed with improving their experience. - We’re proud of what we’ve built and quick to admit what we don’t know yet, listening, learning, and adjusting as we go. - We’re embracing the possibilities of AI to work smarter, improve our systems, and create better experiences for our customers and our team. - Our goal isn’t just delivery, it’s delight. We move quickly, communicate openly, and solve real problems together.
• Deliver a unified messaging experience that brings secure messaging, SMS, and future channels into one clear, reliable workflow • Raise the technical bar within the Communications group • Connect engineering decisions to real customer and business outcomes • Communicate clearly and lead by example at a staff level
• Build a consolidated view of Jane's tools landscape — own the picture of what we're using, where, how it's configured, what it costs, and how the pieces fit together (including future roadmap). Identify overlaps, gaps, and consolidation opportunities. • Lead tool selection and procurement — partner with functional leaders to evaluate, select, and procure new business systems. Bring a rigorous requirements lens, an eye for total cost of ownership, and a clear point of view on integration and data implications. • Own configuration and administration of business systems — establish standards for how tools get configured, who can change them, and how changes are reviewed. Move us from informal admin work to a disciplined, requirements-driven practice. • Build the integration and middleware layer — design and operate the connective tissue between systems - starting with key GTM systems (iPaaS, APIs, event streams) - so data flows reliably and intentionally between the tools that capture it and the systems that consume it. • Own data ingestion & pipeline infrastructure — partner closely with the Analytics team to ensure data flows are set up, on time, and working consistently in both directions - source-system data lands in the warehouse cleanly, and relevant internal apps data is flowing back to tools as needed as well. • Partner across the executive layer — work with leaders in Revenue, Customer, People, Finance, and Marketing to understand their workflows, surface trade-offs, and make sure the systems serving them are coherent with Jane's broader architecture.
Role Description Jane's Platform & Enablement group is where the foundational work happens - the systems, services, and shared capabilities that the rest of our product and engineering teams build on top of. This role will work closely with leadership across our Product Org, leading the product side of a group that touches three connected areas: - Deep technical infrastructure (cloud, data, security, resilience) - Software enablement (the shared tools, services, and platforms that other teams build on) - A growing set of customer-facing surfaces that shape how practitioners and partners experience Jane every day We're being honest with ourselves: this is a hard role to fill. It calls for someone who has lived across that full spectrum before - someone who can hold a deeply technical conversation about cloud architecture in the morning, lead a customer research session on login experience in the afternoon, and translate both into a clear narrative for business leaders by end of day. We're looking for the rare leader who's done it. If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk. What Impact We're Looking for You to Make - Lead the product strategy across infrastructure, software enablement, and our emerging customer-facing platform surfaces. - Build and grow a team of senior product managers, creating the conditions for them to do their best work, develop their craft, and feel genuinely supported. - Establish a clear, transparent prioritization philosophy that the broader organization can trust. - Partner closely with development and design, dividing and conquering across a wide remit while keeping security, compliance, and customer experience as first-class citizens of the work. - Translate technical complexity into clear, actionable narratives for business leaders. Qualifications - Extensive product management experience, including 5+ years leading and growing PM teams - ideally as a Director, Senior Director, or VP of Product at a technically deep SaaS company. - Demonstrated experience across the full spectrum of platform and product work - from infrastructure and developer-facing tooling to customer-facing surfaces. - Strong technical fluency - enough to lead senior PMs working on cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and core services. - Exceptional communication skills, especially the ability to translate technical complexity into digestible, actionable insight for executives, cross-functional partners, and customers. - A clear, well-developed philosophy on prioritization that values transparency and collaboration. Requirements - Strong business judgment, customer empathy, and humility that makes senior leaders easy to work with. - If you don't meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we'd still love to hear from you. Benefits - Annual salary range of $218,400 to $354,900. - Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $259,400. - Regular career development conversations with your manager. - Compensation grows as you gain experience and contribute meaningfully to our mission. - Comprehensive benefits package. Jane's partner ecosystem connects thousands of clinics with the tools and services that help them run better businesses. The work of building and scaling that ecosystem falls to this team. We evaluate new partners, bring them to market, and ensure clinics know when something genuinely useful has arrived. Role Description Believe it or not, Jane currently has seven full-time IT staff who are supporting our growing organization of 800+ staff. So yes, we’re ready for you to join us! Our IT team sits at the intersection of security, systems, and the day-to-day experience of every Janer. And right now, we're adding someone to help us get smarter about how we use technology. This role exists because we've hit a familiar inflection point: - We're growing, teams are making tool decisions somewhat independently. - The result is the usual mix of duplicate subscriptions, under-utilized licenses, and renewals that happen mostly because it's easier than stopping. Someone needs to come in and help us change that - not by policing tool decisions, but by being the person teams actually want to call when they're figuring out what to buy, build, or cut, and by making sure the tools we already have are working as hard as they should be. What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make: - Build and maintain systems that give Jane clear visibility into its entire technology portfolio. - Become the person teams want to call before they sign a contract or spin up a new tool. - Coach teams through structured evaluation frameworks with curiosity and care. - Bring vendor relationships into good order - tracking renewal cycles and surfacing risks early. - Lead thoughtful build-vs.-buy conversations, especially as AI tools change what's possible. - Build automations and tooling programs that scale this work beyond manual management. Qualifications - 5+ years managing SaaS portfolios, vendor relationships, and internal tooling programs. - Experience building or operating vendor risk and governance frameworks. - Experience acting as both an advisor and providing hands-on work. - Experience owning the end-to-end process for evaluating new tool requests. - Experience digging into tooling portfolios to identify redundancy and intentional overlap. - Experience driving tool adoption and value realization beyond initial implementation. - Genuine point of view on AI with hands-on experience using tools like Claude. - Clear communication across all levels of the organization. Benefits - Annual salary range of $100,000 to $156,300. - Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, representing an annual salary of $118,800. - Regular career development conversations with your manager. - Compensation grows as you gain experience and contribute meaningfully to our mission. - Comprehensive benefits package.
