You'll love bringing people together, turning strategy into beautifully simple experiences, and help UX designers do the best work of their careers. You’ll be trusted to lead, supported to grow, and encouraged to shape how design shows up across the whole organisation — not just one product or channel. You’ll work with passionate people who care deeply about creating meaningful experiences, and you’ll have the space to do work you’re proud of. What you’ll be doing - Lead and inspire a mixed design team of UX, interaction, visual and print. - Set a clear UX and visual design vision aligned to our business goals. - Ensure our digital products, interaction patterns, brand expression and printed materials feel joined-up and intentional. - Champion user-centred, inclusive and accessible design across everything we create. - Guide teams on when to explore, prototype, experiment and refine, using the right tools at the right time. - Support designers to grow their craft, confidence and impact — whatever their specialism. - Work closely with Product, Engineering, Brand, Marketing and Operations to solve real problems together. - Influence senior stakeholders and help shape decisions that matter. How you’ll make an impact - Bring structure without stifling creativity. - Help designers and stakeholders see the bigger picture. - Translate organisational strategy into a cohesive experience vision. - Embed strong design practice, from service design and journey mapping to high-fidelity visuals and print. - Encourage experimentation, learning and evidence-based iteration. - Create a culture of constructive feedback that’s challenging, supportive and safe. - Help designers understand how their craft connects to the wider experience. As a people manager, you’ll: - Lead with trust, empathy and clarity. - Support designers with different strengths and ambitions. - Provide meaningful feedback, clear progression paths and space to grow. - Handle performance, conflict and delegation with confidence and care. - Build a team culture where people feel valued, heard and inspired to do great work. Qualifications - Turning user and business needs into clear direction for UX, interaction and visual design. - Guiding teams through exploration — wireframes, prototypes, interaction patterns, visuals and print layouts. - Creating consistent, inclusive and accessible experiences across digital and physical formats. - Communicating design thinking clearly to both creative and non-creative audiences. - Collaborating across product, engineering, research, marketing and brand. - Influencing at scale and embedding best practice across an organisation. Requirements - Inspired by the purpose of Insights and motivated to help people and organisations thrive. - Comfortable working with autonomy and owning your work end-to-end. - Open, curious and happy to learn from failure. - Respectful, inclusive and collaborative — you value different perspectives. - Honest, thoughtful and constructive in how you give and receive feedback. Benefits - 35 days holidays - Discretionary Annual Bonus - Private Medical Insurance/BUPA Menopause Plan - Income Protection - Pension Plan - Health Cash Plan - Life Assurance - Electric Car Scheme - Gym-flex - Employee Giving - My Advantage – Employee Discounts - Critical Illness cover - Employee Assistance Program - Holiday purchase option - Flexible working
