Job Description As Principal Product Learning Manager, you will lead the full Product Learning function, including the Product Learning team, the Interactive Delivery Architecture (IDA) team and the Intellectual Property Engine team. You’ll work closely with colleagues across product, technology, research and commercial teams to ensure learning is a core driver of product success. You will be accountable for: - The Product Learning ecosystem – what we create, how it creates value, and how it supports meaningful behaviour change - The Product Learning operating model – how we deliver with quality, clarity, pace and consistency at scale This role goes beyond learning design. It’s about building a high‑performing, trusted capability that supports product success, protects intellectual property, enables global scale and gives senior leaders confidence in the value learning creates. What You’ll Be Doing - Lead, support and develop the Product Learning function across three teams: the Product Learning team, our Flagship Accreditation teams (IDA) and the Profile Engine teams - Set clear standards, shared expectations and effective ways of working across teams - Deliver a joined‑up learning ecosystem across in‑person, digital, AI‑enabled and hybrid learning experiences - Ensure every learning experience has clear behavioural intent, success criteria and measurable outcomes - Build and continuously improve an operating model that enhances quality, predictability, throughput and cost transparency—both within your teams and through business partners - Align learning with product priorities, adoption goals, go‑to‑market plans and commercial performance - Partner closely with Research to ensure learning remains evidence‑based, credible and robust - Strengthen intellectual property governance, auditability and thoughtful reuse across the portfolio - Use learning data and insight to inform product evolution and investment decisions - Communicate clearly and influence effectively with senior stakeholders, ensuring Product Learning vision and modernisation are part of ongoing strategic conversations Qualifications What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a senior leader who can bring together learning strategy, delivery discipline, commercial awareness and strong cross‑functional collaboration. We provide professional excellence with joy and celebration to all those we serve.  The Need For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Product Manager, Revenue Resources. The Product Manager on the Revenue Resources team will provide leadership for developing product offerings for institutions and philanthropists that require complex financial and programmatic tracking. This role will work across advancement and program teams to build compelling offers that are aligned with IJM’s program plans. This role is also responsible for the oversight, administration and compliance management of these complex restricted product offerings across the global organization. The Product Manager also establishes systems, processes and oversight to ensure that donor intentions are accurately documented, tracked, reported and fulfilled in accordance with gift agreements, institutional policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role serves as a key liaison between fundraising, programs, finance, grants, and legal to identify strategic philanthropy and program opportunities and support transparency, stewardship and long-term donor trust. This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Director of Revenue Resources and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US. Responsibilities: Product Offering Development - Partner with advancement, program, and finance teams to develop complex restricted product offerings and secure organizational approval for external use. - Ensure complex restricted product offerings match programmatic priorities and align with funding needs. - Partner with advancement teams to identify philanthropic themes, such as women’s empowerment and climate change, and partner with program teams to identify nexus with IJM’s work to develop specialized complex restricted gift opportunities. - Serve as a consulting partner with advancement teams to vet funding opportunities and to assess if there is a pre-approved product offering that might be a good fit or if a custom offering is needed. - Partner with the Product Specialist roles and the global marketing team to package the complex restricted offerings. - Ensure that all parties—advancement, programs, and finance—are aligned on the general direction of complex restricted products and each specific offering. - Develop system for advancement teams to leverage complex restricted product offerings while not pitching the same opportunity to multiple prospective investors. Oversight & Compliance - Manage a portfolio of complex restricted gifts. - Interpret donor agreements and restrictions to ensure proper implementation, tracking, and fund usage. - In collaboration with Global Finance and regional teams, monitor expenditures and balances to confirm alignment with donor intent, institutional policy and regulatory standards. - In collaboration with Global Finance and regional teams, identify, research and resolve compliance issues related to restricted funds, including under- or over-spending, lapsed restrictions, or ambiguous donor terms. Reporting & Donor Stewardship - Facilitate detailed financial and impact reports for donors, leadership and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity, in partnership with Product Development Specialists. - Support donor stewardship efforts by translating financial activity into donor-ready narratives and summaries. - Respond to donor inquiries regarding fund performance, balances, and the use of restricted contributions. - Support Relationship Owners in early identification, screening and verification when donor opportunities present possible complex restrictions. - Serve as a liaison between Relationship Owners and key regional, Global Finance and program staff in confirming alignment with program plans and budgets and in completing timely documentation of key information needed for the go/no go decision-making process. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with Fundraising, Finance, Legal, Grants, Resources and Program teams to ensure consistent interpretation and execution of gift restrictions. - Provide subject-matter expertise on restricted gift administration during gift acceptance, agreement drafting, and post-award implementation. - Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries related to restricted contributions. Systems, Controls & Process Improvement - Maintain accurate records of restricted gifts within financial, donor and grant management systems. - Develop and refine internal controls, procedures and best practices related to restricted gift management. - Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting and compliance through process enhancements or system improvements. Guidance & Training - Serve as a resource to internal teams on restricted gift policy, compliance requirements and best practices. - Assist in developing training materials or guidance related to restricted gift administration and donor compliance. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; - 5-7+ years of experience in fundraising, grant management, restricted fund accounting, gift administration, or a related role; - Strong understanding of fundraising and donor cultivation; - Experience in higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit organizations with complex gift portfolios; - Strong understanding of donor restrictions, fund accounting, and financial reporting principles; - Demonstrated ability to interpret complex legal or donor agreements and translate them into operational requirements; - High level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiences; - Experience within international development sector preferred; - Experience serving cross-cultural audiences preferred; - Donor intent and compliance stewardship; - Financial and regulatory reporting; and - Process improvement.
