• Support the Vice Dean of Research and Graduate Studies business area by providing strategic oversight of budget, fiscal, operational, and compliance-related financial activities • Oversee financial operations associated with approximately $31M in annual operating expenditures across 12 departments • Prepare executive-level financial reports, dashboards, presentations, and operational analyses for leadership • Maintain financial controls, operational procedures, and reporting structures to support compliance and efficient operations • Review and approve financial transactions, journal vouchers, correcting entries, and business expenses as appropriate • Support audit, compliance, and year-end financial activities across the business area
• Design and administer commercial property/casualty insurance and self-insurance programs • Assist in risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation efforts • Work with insurance brokers and insurers to identify exposures and coverage needs • Present risk management and insurance coverage interpretation to leadership • Lead risk and insurance efforts during potential acquisitions
• Teach courses in the Bachelor of Design in Digital Multimedia Design (DIGMD) degree • Participate in the development of web-based courses • Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until positions are filled
• The Research Project Manager oversees and advises on research project operations including study methodologies, protocol development, project deliverables and timelines, data management and analysis plans, and financial administration • Provides guidance and oversight to research team members • Serves as the project point of contact with faculty, sponsors, and leadership • Manage and Implement Center’s Research Projects • Work directly with Research Director and leadership on key local state and national initiatives and research projects. • Work directly with health system leadership and staff to implement evidence-based interventions within their health systems. • Oversee and advise on research projects and investigative studies from study initiation to conclusion including study design, data collection and management plans, and IRB submissions. • Develop surveys and interview guides using conceptual frameworks to ensure structured, theory-driven data collection. • Design research project work-flow processes and project infrastructure; delegate, prioritize, and review research tasks in order to achieve research project goals and improve results. • Participate in the dissemination of program data, outcomes, and impact.
• Represent Penn State Dickinson Law at recruiting events both virtually and in-person • Communicate with prospective candidates as requested • Complete administrative tasks related to recruitment such as comparing travel costs and booking travel
• Overseeing the daily operations of the Full Board Team including providing guidance to the team on interpretation and compliance with federal, state, and institutional requirements • Managing operations of PSU’s IRB Committees including maintaining IRB rosters, attending meetings to serve as a regulatory expert, and voting member where appropriate, tracking member attendance, assigning submissions to meetings, and ensuring appropriate documentation of IRB meeting minutes as required by federal regulations and by University policy • Onboarding, training, and performing evaluations of IRB members and developing and maintaining IRB member continuing education • Developing, updating, and maintaining IRB policies, guidelines, standard operating procedures, and submission forms in response to regulatory and institutional changes and feedback received by the HRPP • Developing and maintaining IRB training materials, presenting seminars/workshops to the PSU research community about regulations and policies governing human participants in research • Assisting with the processing of Reportable New Information submissions and inquiry and/or investigation of non-compliance with IRB policies and applicable federal regulations • Serving as a representative of the HRPP and subject matter expert in various capacities both internal within the ORP and external on University level committees and groups where necessary • Interacting with other University compliance committees and various other offices such as the Office of Research Information Systems, Office of Sponsored Programs, Office of General Counsel, Office of Information Security, and faculty, staff, and students at all Penn State campuses across the commonwealth
• Conduct stakeholder analysis to identify impacted parties • Facilitate requirements elicitation through interviews, document reviews, workshops, surveys, and teleconferences • Work closely with both internal and external clients to ensure user-friendly and accessible interfaces • Partner with developers to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business goals • Facilitate activities such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing (UAT) • Perform gap analyses and document current and future state business processes • Monitor project progress, identify risks and communicate updates to stakeholders • Support post-launch analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify and research potential hospital and clinic partners who could benefit from SAFE-T's forensic telehealth services • Conduct outreach to healthcare administrators, emergency department directors, and nursing leadership to introduce SAFE-T services • Build and maintain relationships with prospective partners through regular communication, presentations, and consultations • Develop compelling proposals and presentations that articulate the value proposition of SAFE-T services • Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to customize solutions for prospective partners' specific needs • Track and manage partnership pipeline using CRM tools, maintaining detailed records of all interactions and opportunities • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of project management systems for SAFE-T System • Coordinate cross-functional projects involving research, clinical operations, IT, and external partners • Work closely with the Director and Assistant Director on strategic initiatives aimed at scaling SAFE-T's technology and service impact • Maintain project tracking systems, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and milestones are clearly documented and communicated
• Lead, advise, and support the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of enterprise‑wide compliance programs • Interpret and communicate applicable laws, regulations, policies, and standards to diverse audiences • Develop, deliver, and promote training and awareness initiatives related to Penn State’s privacy and regulatory compliance obligations • Partner with internal and external entities to ensure appropriate safeguards for data governed by state, federal, and international requirements • Identify, assess, and mitigate privacy and compliance risks, and report instances of non‑compliance to appropriate stakeholders • Collaborate with units across the institution to support the achievement and maintenance of privacy, data protection, and compliance objectives
• Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and support systems and software • Develop plans, schedules, and requirements for deployment of systems • Create custom programs and scripts to aid in systems management • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and/or respond to outages • Resolve service-related issues; determine immediate economic and financial consequences of an incident • Test and implement upgrades and patches to installed operating systems and software • Maintain reliability of systems by monitoring, running tests, and troubleshooting • Monitor backups and plans for installed systems; review adequacy of emergency response plans • Monitor, maintain, and execute automation processes and procedures • Monitor threats, alerts, security vulnerabilities; conduct regular reviews of security against policy goals • Evaluate organizational vulnerabilities within assigned area of responsibility • Manage, research, and resolve complex end-user escalation incidents • Evaluate and recommend new or existing system improvements and/or solutions • Create and maintain system documentation of departmental processes, procedures, plans, and configurations
