• Own design and oversight of end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including charge capture, claims submission, denial management, payer follow-up, patient billing, and AR collections • Monitor and manage key revenue cycle metrics (clean claim rate, AR days, denial rate, write-off rate) and report results to leadership on a monthly cadence • Develop and document billing and coding protocols in partnership with Clinical, and ensure consistent application across all payer types • Lead denial prevention and appeals processes, tracking root causes, identifying patterns, and closing systemic gaps • Own billing compliance and operational readiness for every new insurance plan Hey Jane accepts — this role does not negotiate contracts, but ensures the infrastructure to bill under them is in place before care is delivered • Partner with Product and Engineering to evaluate RCM and AI tooling, optimize EHR and billing system configuration, including automations, reporting, and integrations • Support state expansion by operationalizing billing for new Medicaid programs and payer launches • Identify and resolve operational gaps in the revenue cycle, building scalable processes that reduce manual work and improve accuracy • Manage a team of 2-3 billing specialists
• Manage end-to-end provider licensing workflows across multiple states, including initial applications, renewals, and maintenance for all provider types (MDs, NPs, CNMs, RNs, etc.) • Own payer enrollment processes for commercial and government payers (Medicaid, Medicare), from initial application through active status • Maintain and update CAQH profiles for all providers • Build and maintain accurate tracking systems to monitor license and credential expiration dates, ensuring zero lapses in provider ability to practice • Serve as the primary liaison between clinicians, state medical/nursing boards, payers, and internal stakeholders • Follow up persistently and proactively with external agencies and boards to move applications forward and resolve delays • Develop and document SOPs and workflows for licensing and credentialing processes as the company scales • Partner closely with clinical, operations, and business development teams to ensure providers are enrolled and ready to see patients on time • Identify gaps in current processes and implement improvements to reduce administrative burden on clinicians • Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, credentialing standards, and HIPAA requirements

• Provide medication abortion care to patients via Hey Jane’s online platform • Conduct visits via video, phone or asynchronously • Review patients’ medical intake responses • Communicate with patients via HIPAA-compliant messaging app or during live appointments • Determine eligibility for online medication abortion treatment • Prescribe medications to a mail-order pharmacy or arrange local pharmacy pickup • Respond to medical inquiries from patients requiring further evaluation • Direct nursing staff regarding referrals and additional prescriptions as necessary

Role Overview We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse who is committed to reproductive justice and trauma-informed care, and energized by the opportunity to expand access to safe, patient-centered abortion care through telemedicine. In this role, you will provide direct clinical support to patients undergoing medication abortion. As a remote RN, you will respond to patient’s medical questions and concerns, delivering timely triage, clinical assessment, and patient-specific nursing guidance. You’ll ensure every patient feels heard, supported, and cared for—providing culturally responsive, evidence-based care during moments that matter most.
