Role Description You will be part of an agile and growing team, playing a critical role in helping us to research and organize large sets of higher education labor data. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our Client Success Team to process data submitted by our client universities into actionable, reliable labor spend benchmarks that will ultimately be used by our team to advise senior finance executives at our client universities on administrative efficiency and effectiveness. You will also support the Assessment and Credentialing product with Self Studies and Outcome Sets. - Adapt quickly to continuous shifts in educational technology and AI advancements, proactively evolving workflows to improve time to value for our clients. - Support multiple product lines, specifically Labor Cost Analytics, Data Analytics, and Assessment & Credentialing. - Perform in-depth research tasks in support of client desired data requests or follow-on services. - Organize multiple tasks, manage project workflows, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision and a high level of accountability. Specifically for Labor Cost Analytics: - Organize and map large sets of higher education financial data in adherence to a standard data organization model. - Lead the migration and subgroup comparison process, including department matching, title grouping, and subgrouping. - Perform rigorous data audits to ensure cross consortium consistency and data integrity. - Provide oversight and coaching to the Research Associate (RA) team, including account-specific training and review of mappings. - Support advanced implementation processes, such as organization mapping and data file verification. - Collaborate closely with the development team to drive product, implementation, and AI-driven enhancements, managing requirements and feedback efficiently via Jira. Specifically for Assessment & Credentialing: - Support with creation of Self Studies and Outcome Sets. - Assist with training and onboarding for new clients. - Communicate with client regarding specific needs via Jira. • Communicate with stakeholders to determine institutional goals, and design analyses and data visualizations to provide insight to complex business problems. • Conduct exploratory data analysis in collaboration with subject matter experts to build and validate analytical datasets. • Develop statistical and machine learning models (classification, time series, etc.) using a custom python framework to generate scores and forecasts. • Present predictive modeling results and operational dashboards to end-users at colleges and universities to help them understand and make use of the findings and scores. • Work with data science and data engineering teams to build data pipelines, improve internal systems, and deploy and maintain models in a production environment. • Collaborate with other data scientists to share knowledge, develop best practices, and contribute to documentation, process standardization, and product development. • Occasionally travel (typically 1-3 days at a time, ~3 times per year) to HelioCampus offices and client sites for meetings and presentations.

How You'll Help: As a Data Engineer II, you will be a key architect in building and maintaining our specialized higher education data warehouse. You will ensure that institutional data is reliable, high-performing, and delivered in a timely manner, directly enabling university leaders to make informed, strategic decisions. What You Will Do: - Develop: Design, build, and deploy robust ETL/ELT solutions using SQL and Python. - Test & Deploy: Perform comprehensive unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure data integrity and system reliability. - Analyze: Monitor and evaluate pipeline performance trends to proactively prevent bottlenecks and system failures. - Troubleshoot: Diagnose and resolve complex ETL issues in real-time, identifying root causes to prevent recurrence. - Collaborate: Work closely with analysts and senior engineers to expand reporting models that meet evolving university goals. The analyst will work closely with multiple client partners to understand their analytical needs, evaluate key performance metrics, and analyze trends. The ideal candidate will possess superior technical ability and a strong background in analyzing enrollment, student success, and financial data, with prior experience working directly with university clients. Strong communication and relationship management skills are a must. What You Will Do: - Develop subject matter expertise in the HelioCampus data platform and guide client partners in the use of the platform to answer strategic and operational institutional questions. - Deploy and configure dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to university partners. - Conduct analysis of higher education data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. This could include analysis of data from all three of the HelioCampus product suite – Student Analytics, Cost Analytics and Assessment Management. - Perform ad hoc analysis to discover actionable information in support of strategic decision making. - Serve as the main point of contact between HelioCampus and the client partner, working closely with senior leaders to maximize use of the platform and deliver ongoing training and support to client stakeholders. - Prioritize and follow up on client initiatives. - Leverage enterprise business intelligence tools, SQL queries and other tools to develop complex dashboards and reports. - Deliver ongoing training and support to client partners. - Translate and interpret business and data requirements between the client and the HelioCampus technical/data teams. - Maintain accuracy and quality of data extracts. You Will Be a Good Fit For This Role If You Have: - A minimum of 3 years of experience performing analytic functions in higher education or working as a consultant in higher education. - Experience working in one or more key areas of higher education (e.g. student financials, financial aid, admissions, advancement, student affairs, enrollment management). - Experience summarizing and presenting data analysis to business leaders, which includes making recommendations to meet client strategic goals and objectives. - Innate curiosity and an interest in helping to advance institutions of higher education. - Experience building and fostering productive relationships with clients by using active listening to identify client needs and develop a path for success. - Experience working with data from one or more Student Information Systems (e.g. Banner, PeopleSoft, Colleague, Workday). - Experience working closely with technical development teams, Institutional Research, and Information Technology staff. - Significant experience working in Power BI and/or Tableau to manipulate, analyze and present data and to develop dashboards and reports. - Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, relational databases, and experience working with large data sets. - Foundational understanding of SQL and/or one or more analytic/programming software packages such as R, SAS, Python, and knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms. • Design, build, and launch multi-channel campaigns that drive high-quality awareness and intent • Act as the primary Hubspot owner for the team (with Ops support) to build and automate landing pages, emails, webinars, and workflows that power lead generation and engagement • Collaborate with Product Mktg, Brand & Comms, and others to craft copy that hooks and design landing pages that convert • Dive into Hubspot, Salesforce, ad platforms, and other tools to see what’s working, apply learnings, and help propel the team forward • Monitor and report campaign performance - from Hubspot to Salesforce, Marketing to Sales - and push forward next steps or optimizations at a rigorous pace • Leverage AI tools to accelerate production and execution, helping our team stay agile and high-output • Support the overall GTM function to illustrate the value of HelioCampus to prospects and customers to improve conversion rates from MQL to opportunity

• Work with senior Product Management team members to set product goals and prioritize feature development. • Serve as the lead system prompt engineer, creating and maintaining the detailed instructions passed to the LLMs that power Theia Analyst. • Develop and implement processes to evaluate and monitor the performance of the tool. • Provide training and support to internal teams working with Theia Analyst, and consult on all client implementations. • Work directly with clients to conceptualize, test, and roll out new product features. • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to articulate differentiated messaging for our AI solutions and design and run product demos. • Stay up to date on frontier LLM capabilities and suggest and implement product enhancements as the technology evolves.
