• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering to develop and execute the Treasury engineering strategy • Lead, manage, and mentor a talented team of full-stack engineers building Givebutter Wallet features, payment tools, and financial dashboards • Own the Treasury engineering function, setting technical direction and ensuring alignment with company objectives • Drive the development of same-day ACH transfer tools, card issuing systems, and QuickBooks integration that help nonprofits move money faster • Build and maintain financial infrastructure that enables nonprofits to earn rewards on their funds and put money to work faster • Bring technical expertise to the evolution of Givebutter's financial systems; ensure architecture and stack are optimized for security, reliability, and growth • Improve internal engineering workflows, continually refining best practices • Champion code quality across the team and uphold a high standard for maintainable and scalable solutions • Evaluate and apply AI and machine learning tools to drive innovation in financial product development

• Respond to queries from users in a timely and accurate way via live chat and email • Follow up with unresponsive users and leads to ensure their questions are resolved • Proactively identify user needs and help customers implement specific features • Analyze product malfunctions (for example, by testing different scenarios or impersonating users) and report them • Gather user feedback, feature requests, and workarounds, and proactively suggest improvements • Be empathetic and a great problem-solver, even when handling multiple conversations at the same time

• Build acquisition and marketing surfaces in our Astro-based site, where you're free from the constraints of our Webflow-hosted content pages to make things that are faster, more interactive, more personalized, and more fun • Partner with Design to translate Figma, prototypes, and AI-generated explorations into production-grade motion and interaction, and own the motion and interaction primitives that evolve across marketing and eventually product • Build data-driven marketing pages that bring our real campaign and cause data to life: per-cause hubs, per-campaign stories, per-vertical landing pages, with the kind of craft and taste that makes them feel hand-made even when they're templated • Wire our marketing surfaces into the same analytics and feature-flag plumbing our product team uses; we've got PostHog across the stack and LaunchDarkly in the dashboard, with real room to extend those patterns into how we ship marketing • Collaborate with our 3rd-party Webflow team on the cross-cutting work that spans our whole web presence (analytics and tracking instrumentation, SEO, technical decisions) • Partner with Growth, Marketing, Design, and the product engineering team as a natural translator between what each group needs

• Own the support tech stack end-to-end: optimization, configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, integration maintenance, and internal training across Intercom, TalkDesk, Assembled, Scorebuddy, and Enterpret. • Lead AI and automation initiatives: maintain and improve Fin AI (chat), evaluate and launch AI for email and phone channels, and own the internal agent copilot — including a planned overhaul using MCPs, Claude API, and modern tooling. • Support proactive customer success by partnering with the Knowledge Manager to keep the Help Center accurate and AI-ready, and collaborating cross-functionally on lifecycle messaging that reduces avoidable inbound volume. • Design and document support workflows: escalation paths, routing logic, macro libraries, resolution playbooks, and integration architecture that reduces manual work. • Maintain data hygiene and operational reporting: ensure accurate tagging, reliable KPI dashboards (CSAT, AI deflection, handle time, cost/active users), and clean data flow across systems. • Partner cross-functionally with Support Engineering, Revenue, Product, and Marketing on systems alignment, API access needs, and proactive support touchpoints.

• First-chair all inbound vendor agreements: negotiate, redline, and close contracts with technology vendors, service providers, data processors, and other third parties across the full range of agreement types (SaaS, DPAs, NDAs, professional services, licensing). • First-chair all outbound customer and sales contracts: own the contracting process for Givebutter's revenue-generating agreements, including enterprise customer terms and service agreements. • Build the contracting infrastructure: develop and maintain templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and self-serve tools that enable operations and sales teams to move faster with less legal bottleneck. • Implement and optimize AI-powered legal workflows: use AI tools, AI agents, and agentic workflows for contract review, clause analysis, and negotiation support; continuously iterate on the legal ops tech stack to maximize throughput without sacrificing quality. • Manage contract lifecycle: own the process from intake through execution, including tracking obligations, renewal dates, and key terms across the portfolio. • Second-chair partnership agreements: support the General Counsel on strategic partnerships, including payment processor relationships, platform integrations, and channel partnerships. • Draft and negotiate ancillary partnership documents: handle the supporting agreements, amendments, and operational terms that flow from partnership relationships. • Serve as day-to-day legal advisor to the product team: help drive our Product Roadmap by affirmatively suggesting opportunities for expansion and advise Product, Design & Engineering (PDE) on compliance-by-design for new features, payment flows, and data practices. • Support the General Counsel and Security & Compliance Manager on compliance matters: assist with regulatory filings, licensing questions, privacy compliance, and consumer protection issues as they arise. • Advise on marketing and commercial claims: review marketing materials, competitive positioning, and customer-facing disclosures for legal risk. • Support the General Counsel on corporate work: assist with corporate governance, equity matters, and board-level projects as needed. • Support claims and disputes: help manage claims, demand letters, and escalated customer disputes under the General Counsel's direction. • Contribute to legal team development: help build the processes, documentation, and institutional knowledge that will scale with Givebutter's growth.

• Codify and execute the security roadmap for the organization, prioritizing the further hardening of critical systems (payment infrastructure, donor data stores, authentication flows, API integrations) and ensuring compliance with applicable laws (e.g., data privacy and security). • Partner directly with PDE leadership to embed security controls into the development lifecycle: threat modeling, secure code review, vulnerability management, and CI/CD pipeline security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA) • Own the security incident response plan end-to-end: detection, containment, investigation, notification, remediation, and post-incident review • Work with IT to drive identity and access management improvements, including role-based access controls, MFA enforcement, endpoint security, and session management • Develop a deep understanding of fraud vectors in the fundraising and payments space—stolen cards, synthetic identities, friendly fraud, campaign abuse—and help us build systems that adapt as threats evolve. • Manage vendor security risk assessments for third-party tools, integrations, and sub-processors, with continuous monitoring rather than annual check-ins • Own the penetration testing program: vendor relationships, testing cadence, findings translation into engineering tickets, and remediation tracking to closure • Develop and deliver security awareness training for all employees, with targeted modules for PDE, CX, and leadership audiences • Lead SOC 2 Type II certification end-to-end: gap analysis, control design, evidence collection, remediation tracking, auditor coordination, and ongoing maintenance • Build the roadmap toward ISO 27001 certification as the security program matures • Serve as primary owner of our GRC platform (Vanta): driving task completion, monitoring compliance gaps, triaging findings, and ensuring remediation owners are accountable • Manage all external auditor and certification body relationships • Build and maintain evidence repositories that support continuous (not just point-in-time) compliance • Prepare board-ready compliance status reports and risk summaries quarterly • With the General Counsel’s guidance, own all required licenses, registrations, and regulatory filings across US jurisdictions, including state charitable fundraising platform registrations and other licenses • Manage the Trust Center: content accuracy, access approvals, and customer-facing compliance documentation

• Own all IT operations end-to-end: device procurement & management, SaaS administration, and identity & access management. • Administer our Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform and maintain a healthy, secure fleet of Mac and Windows devices. • Manage core business tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, 1Password, and more — and evaluate new ones as we grow. • Lead IT onboarding and offboarding so every new hire has a great Day 1 (and every departure is handled cleanly). • Own our Notion workspace as a core IT system: manage permissions and access controls, maintain structural integrity as we scale, and partner with teams to ensure it stays organized, useful, and secure. • Stay ahead of AI tooling: evaluate, pilot, and govern AI tools across the business, establishing guardrails for responsible use, managing access, and helping teammates get the most out of tools like Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and others as they enter our stack. • Build and maintain IT documentation and self-service resources that actually empower teammates to help themselves. • Implement and maintain IT security fundamentals: endpoint protection, MFA enforcement, access controls, and SOC 2 compliance support. • Serve as the go-to for troubleshooting and support, not as a ticket-closer, but as a genuine partner to the team. • Think proactively: identify gaps before they become problems and build the infrastructure for where we're going, not just where we are.

• Prospect, negotiate, and manage relationships with key technology partners — from initial outreach through deal close and ongoing partnership health. • Pitch partnership ideas and programs internally and externally to gain buy-in from leadership, product, engineering, marketing, and partner organizations. • Collaborate with our Product team to expand Givebutter's platform capabilities through technology partnerships. • Establish our partnerships ecosystem strategy and programs. • Coordinate execution of strategic partnerships across Givebutter's and each partner's organizations. • Drive adoption of product integrations in concert with our Marketing teams.

• Build the fraud platform. Design and implement fraud detection and risk decisioning systems, rule engines, scoring pipelines, event-driven risk signals, and backtesting infrastructure. • Build for operators. Create investigation and review tooling that helps our Trust & Safety operations team triage, investigate, and resolve cases efficiently. You care as much about internal UX as external. • Help shape what we build next. You'll work closely with your manager, product, operations and leadership stakeholders to identify where we're exposed, propose solutions, and help prioritize the roadmap. Your domain expertise matters here — we want your perspective on what we should be doing. • Think like an adversary. Develop a deep understanding of fraud vectors in the fundraising and payments space: stolen cards, synthetic identities, friendly fraud, campaign abuse, and help us build systems that adapt as threats evolve. • Strengthen payment integrity. Work across our payment systems to harden the transaction lifecycle against abuse. You don't need to be a payments expert on day one. • Mentor and grow the team. Help engineers on your team develop Trust & Safety domain expertise. Share what you know, pair on hard problems, and help raise the bar for how the team approaches adversarial challenges.

• Own the full recruiting lifecycle for assigned roles, from kick-off through offer and close. • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, build interview plans, and align on hiring timelines. • Proactively source and engage candidates using platforms like LinkedIn, job boards, and talent communities. • Manage candidate pipelines with accuracy and care in our ATS (Ashby), ensuring data integrity and timely follow-through. • Drive a consistent, high-quality candidate experience at every touchpoint throughout the recruitment lifecycle. • Leverage data, hiring metrics, and feedback to continuously improve processes and pipeline health. • Ensure the team is maximizing recruiting tools and systems, including AI enhancements that elevate the interview experience. • Maintain and improve recruiting documentation to support consistency and scalability as the team grows. • Collaborate cross-functionally with People Ops to support seamless onboarding handoffs.
