Role Description Are you a YouTube creator at heart who also happens to be great at sales? Do you light up when talking about content strategy, analytics, and channel growth? Are you excited by the opportunity to use your understanding of the platform to solve problems for content teams and media companies? We’re looking for a senior sales leader to combine their YouTube and enterprise selling expertise. In this role, you’ll own the enterprise sales function and operate as both the primary seller and a key voice shaping our go-to-market approach. Beyond closing deals, you’ll serve as the bridge between our enterprise customers and our product, channeling insights from the field to influence product and marketing strategy and execution. As the team grows, you’ll mentor junior AEs and help define the sales culture at TubeBuddy. If you believe the best way to close a deal is by genuinely helping solve a prospect’s problems, and want to build out our sales strategy and team, this role is for you. This is a fully remote position (anywhere within the US), and you’ll be joining a tight-knit, passionate team that’s helping millions of YouTube creators grow their channels every day. Responsibilities - Strategic Sales Ownership - Own the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through close for TubeBuddy’s enterprise accounts, including major media companies, brands, agencies, and creator networks. - Develop and execute account strategy independently, identifying high-value opportunities and prioritizing outreach against the highest-potential prospects. - Manage a mix of inbound opportunities and outbound prospecting; scale outbound over time as you build the enterprise motion and refine ICP. - Drive multi-threaded deals forward through to close, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers across client organizations. - Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders (including content, growth, and revenue leaders) and key decision-makers, presenting with authority and deep platform expertise. - Deliver on quarterly and annual sales bookings, revenue, and gross profit targets. - Provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reporting and forecasting to leadership, with an emphasis on realistic projections and transparent pipeline management. - Consultative Selling (with optional YouTube Strategy Consulting) - Conduct consultative discovery calls and product demos that showcase deep YouTube platform expertise and genuine problem-solving. - Provide YouTube strategy guidance as part of the sales motion (and potentially as a consulting engagement where appropriate). - Qualify prospects honestly, directing non-enterprise fits to our self-serve Legend product to protect brand trust. - Drive one-call closes where appropriate; minimize unnecessary meeting cycles to maintain momentum and close rates. - Maintain CRM hygiene in HubSpot, tracking all prospect interactions, deal stages, and pipeline activity. - Cross-Functional Leadership & Mentorship - Serve as the voice of the customer internally, channeling enterprise client insights to influence product roadmap, feature priorities, and marketing strategy. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations to relay market needs and ensure client feedback drives meaningful improvements. - Mentor team members as the team scales, helping establish sales best practices, coaching on consultative selling techniques, and modeling TubeBuddy’s sales culture. - Contribute to the ongoing evolution of TubeBuddy’s enterprise sales playbook, processes, and go-to-market strategy. Qualifications - Active YouTube channel ownership or significant hands-on YouTube platform experience (this is our #1 priority and is not negotiable, YouTube fluency matters more than a traditional sales resume). - 5–10 years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, ideally in enterprise or strategic sales. - Proven ability to independently manage complex, multi-threaded sales cycles with executive-level stakeholders. - Strong consultative selling skills, ability to diagnose needs and deliver honest, value-driven solutions rather than high-pressure tactics. - Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging C-suite executives and navigating multi-division client organizations. - Experience developing territory or account strategies and executing against them with minimal oversight. - Self-directed and highly motivated; thrives in a small-team, fast-paced environment where you own the function. - Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and sales pipeline management. - BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience. Nice-to-Have - Experience selling SaaS products to media companies, or creator-focused organizations. - Existing relationships within the digital media, entertainment, or creator economy space. - Prior experience mentoring or managing junior sales team members. - Familiarity with contract management tools (e.g., Ironclad) and enterprise procurement processes. - Experience with browser extensions or tools that integrate with Google/YouTube APIs. - Background in the creator economy as a creator, manager, or agency professional.
