Role Description The Insurance Verification Specialist is a member of the Pre-Authorization Department who is responsible for verifying eligibility, obtaining insurance benefits, and ensuring pre-certification, authorization, and referral requirements are met prior to delivery of inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary services. This individual determines which patient services have third party payer authorization requirements and collaborates with the appropriate clinical partners, case managers, financial counselors, payers, and others to make sure the necessary authorization is obtained. The Insurance Verification Specialist provides detailed and timely communication in order to facilitate compliance with payer contractual requirements and is responsible for documenting the appropriate information in the patient's record. Role Description The Epic Resolute Application Coordinator is responsible for the overall design, build and implementation of the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing and Claims & Remittance application module. The Application Coordinator is responsible for working with the project leadership team and the Patient Financial Services (PFS) operational leadership team regarding scope, integration, and design decisions for Hospital Billing and/or Claims and Remittance workflows. The incumbent must be very knowledgeable in the technical and functional aspects of the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing application and take a lead role in identifying and resolving operational and technical system issues which have an enterprise-wide impact on the project. Qualifications - A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required. - Knowledge of computer principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. Requirements - Able to successfully perform assignments/projects/tasks without assistance. - Analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks. - Willingness to learn and improve. - Highly motivated and ability to operate under limited supervision. - Ability to prioritize and execute in high-pressure situations. - Ability to adapt to change. - Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal. - Basic technical acumen. - Epic Proficiency, Accreditation or Certification is required. - Prefer Epic HIM certification.
