• Serve as the technical specialist for complex reinsurance transactions and policy interpretations, with specific expertise in ASC 944, Financial Services – Insurance. • Research, interpret, and establish accounting policies for complex reinsurance structures and emerging transactions, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and audit defensibility. • In close collaboration with actuarial, tax, and financial reporting teams, research, analyze, and prepare accounting policies in relation to U.S. GAAP, SEC, U.S. Statutory and Bermuda statutory and Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) accounting and reporting guidance relevant to reinsurance, insurance and other emerging issues. • Provides technical accounting guidance that informs transaction structuring and execution. • Monitor, analyze, and document developments (including new standards) from the FASB, SEC, NAIC and BMA that could impact the Company’s accounting policies, practices, and disclosures. • Lead the design and documentation of financial processes and controls to promote compliance with the Company’s internal control program, with a specific focus on technical accounting matters. • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, providing timely guidance on accounting policy implications to support corporate development and strategic initiatives, including but not limited to reinsurance transactions. • Provide coaching, training, and technical guidance to accounting and finance team members as needed. • Support additional accounting policy initiatives and responsibilities as assigned.
• Deliver well-architected data solutions in partnership with data platform engineers, data governance, data science, and data analytics/visualization peers. • Partner with business teams to design data solutions with the ability to mentor early career data engineers. • Lead build-out and deployment of data pipelines. • Ensure reliability, scalability and governance of data pipelines.
• Review transaction documents including deal information memorandum, appraisals, product profiles, contracts, experience studies, and other materials associated with prospective transactions. • Review pricing assumptions and internal underwriting diligence. • Review the analysis of cedants’ experience to ensure sufficient diligence was performed, data is credible, and proper controls were employed in setting assumptions. • Review investment strategies and their inherent risks in light of liabilities in a given transaction. • Ensure pricing assumptions are reasonable in light of cedant’s experience, company experience, industry experience, and professional judgment. • Validate pricing models and results. • Review pricing model design, results, and the peer review (challenger) process. • Recommend sensitivity and stress tests and evaluate their impacts. • Perform independent validation of pricing models in their entirety or specific pricing results, including the development of replication models where necessary. • Identify, assess, and communicate deal risks. • Risks include, but are not limited to, actuarial assumption risk, investment risks (credit, ALM, liquidity), operational risk, regulatory and tax risk, and expense risk. • Evaluate proposed risk mitigation strategies and their potential effectiveness. • Document risks for management presentations and in ERM risk memorandums. • Advise SVP L&A Risk Officer and CRO on deal economics and risks in advance of bid decision making. • Ensure full compliance with the company’s transaction and pricing governance standards.
AVP, Financial Reporting Actuary Manager

• Prepare timely and accurate reporting of US GAAP reserves. • Prepare timely and accurate reporting of US statutory reserves, tax reserves and all required statutory filings. • Support the CFT process and analysis. • Prepare timely and accurate reporting of RBC Stress Testing sensitivities, as well as EV and Strategic Plan projections. • Develop and enhance results analysis and attribution for each reporting basis. • Execute controls and governance processes. • Support Finance by providing information and exhibits needed for financial reporting. • Support other functional areas and management on information requests and initiatives as needed. • Support the evaluation and potential integration of future acquisitions. • Own the growth, performance, and future readiness of team members through structured development planning, coaching, and succession management.

AVP, Capital Management, Strategic Projects

Role Description The Consumer Affairs Manager is a key leader for the Client Experience Team. In this challenging and dynamic role, you will support Formal Complaint Management Research and Response. The responsibility of this leader will be to lead/manage and direct a team of analysts handling formal complaint review/response to customers and regulators on behalf of Institutional Clients for Fortitude Life and Annuity Solutions (FLAS). Vice President, Investment Accounting Policy
