The Centralized Health Guide is a licensed Nurse Practitioner who leads the medical aspects of virtual care for individuals with serious mental illness that firsthand serves. The Centralized Health Guide is responsible for virtual whole person assessments and management of our vulnerable population, collaborating closely with community primary care and behavioral health providers, as well as an internal team of triage registered nurses and psychiatric nurse practitioners. Position Overview The Vice President, Central Operations is a high-impact, mission driven leader responsible for the design, implementation, and operational and clinical performance of the firsthand care model across our centralized services. The role will be a significant contributor to designing, implementing and leading our central care teams, which includes multiple service lines serving all of our markets across the country. Specifically, this leader will lead all shared services today – with significant room to change and evolve as firsthand grows and evolves. While our fGs in many markets ably support these individuals with the initial outreach and long term engagement within our care model, we are introducing a new role: an Outreach Specialist (oS). Our Outreach Specialists carry much of the same expertise as a Peer Recovery Specialist, however they will focus uniquely on making outreach to our newest individuals – and ensuring they get connected to their local fG. This is a role that will be performed entirely telephonically or remotely. The oS will partner closely with the firsthand care team to drive long term engagement into our care model – working closely with our local Managers of Community Operations (MCOs) and local fGs. They will act as the point of contact to make the initial outreach, ultimately ensuring they understand the firsthand care model, and are connected to their local team to engage longitudinally. As an OS, you will: - Perform initial and ongoing telephonic outreach to our individuals and community providers - Support individuals health needs by scheduling appointments with the local team, such as an initial engagement session - Build trust and relationships by addressing immediate needs and empowering individuals to identify and pursue personal recovery goals by teaching them about the firsthand care model - Serve as the primary point-of-contact, using advanced engagement techniques to facilitate ongoing connection and engagement in supportive services - Provide timely and thorough documentation of encounters and participate in case reviews and team collaboration, as needed - Participate in ongoing training and professional development - Understand that as firsthand learns and grows, your role will constantly evolve. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Health Services Research, or related quantitative field required. - ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) preferred for actuarial-focused candidates; FSA a plus. - Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD, or equivalent) in a quantitative or research discipline preferred but not required. - 8–10+ years of experience in healthcare economics, actuarial analysis, health services research, or related field. - Significant experience working with Medicaid & Medicare populations. - Demonstrated expertise in claims analysis, cost modeling, and evaluating value-based care arrangements. - Advanced modeling and statistical analysis capabilities. - Proven track record of evaluating care program effectiveness and translating findings into operational improvements. - Experience supporting financial processes including medical expense forecasting, accruals, and risk assessment. - Experience working in managed care, provider risk-bearing entities, healthcare services organizations, or applied research environments. - Ability to synthesize complex quantitative findings into clear executive-level insights. Job Specifics As Senior Analytics Lead you will: - Own analytical framing and execution for high-stakes business questions related to value creation, strategy, and operational performance. - Define and maintain trusted KPIs and Snowflake data marts using DBT to ensure reliable, decision-ready data foundations. - Design and maintain executive dashboards in QuickSight that answer meaningful business questions and reduce metric ambiguity. - Apply a hypothesis-first approach to analysis, identifying likely drivers, testing competing explanations, and making clear recommendations even with imperfect data. - Translate complex healthcare data into concise memos, slides, and narratives tailored to decision-makers. - Partner cross-functionally with Data Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Customer Success to ensure alignment on metrics, sources of truth, and performance insights. Qualifications - Advanced SQL proficiency including CTEs, window functions, complex joins, and aggregations in Snowflake. - Strong experience with BI tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Looker. - A deep understanding of healthcare data including claims, eligibility, attribution, and payer reporting constructs. - Proven ability to frame ambiguous business questions, develop hypotheses, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and operate effectively in ambiguity.
