Incident Response Engagement – Lead

• Lead and manage all phases of the incident response lifecycle — including scoping, containment, eradication, and recovery — across moderately complex, multi-system environments. • Serve as the primary point of contact for Cowbell Claims Team, breach counsel, Incident Response providers, and policyholders throughout active engagements. • Oversee the work of digital forensics and incident response providers, ensuring timely and accurate analysis of affected systems and environments. • Identify and actively manage scope creep across concurrent engagements, maintaining project timelines and stakeholder alignment. • Schedule, organize, and moderate the briefing of complex forensic findings into clear, actionable reporting tailored to technical, legal, and executive audiences. • Operate with an understanding of Attorney-Client Privilege and Work Product Doctrine, ensuring appropriate handling of sensitive investigation materials in coordination with legal counsel. • Collaborate cross-functionally with claims adjusters, underwriters, and external partners to support accurate incident documentation and coverage determinations. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Cowbell Resiliency Service’s incident response methodologies, playbooks, and tooling.
Claims Specialist

• Perform tasks such as coverage analysis and letter writing; investigation; incident response; evaluation; reserve adequacy and timeliness; diary maintenance; management of defense and coverage counsel; reinsurance reporting; and claim disposition. • Proactively manage claims and litigation effectively while delivering outstanding customer service. • Provide regular communication with customers, brokers, cross-functional departments. • Claim presentations, both written and oral; obtain authority and/or formulate appropriate action plans on difficult claims. • Market claim services and coordinate and participate in presentations to customers or potential.
Claims Specialist

Director, Insurance Accounting, Reporting

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including oversight of the monthly and quarterly close and entity consolidations • Leverage resources to ensure completeness and accuracy of insurance financial results and related disclosures • Maintain and strengthen internal control frameworks and accounting policies to support audit readiness and mitigate financial reporting risk • Lead all statutory accounting and reporting, including preparation and review of quarterly and annual statutory financial statements and related regulatory filings • Oversee insurance accounting across premium, loss and LAE reserves, reinsurance, and related balance sheet accounts, ensuring alignment and reconciliation between GAAP and statutory results • Direct accounting and reporting for ceded and assumed reinsurance and fronting arrangements, including premium settlements, ceding commissions, reinsurance recoverables, and collateral balances • Coordinate and review periodic reporting and settlement deliverables to fronting and reinsurance partners (e.g., bordereaux, accounts current, and related treaty reporting) and ensure compliance with contractual reporting requirements • Partner with actuarial, underwriting, and operations teams on reserve roll-forwards, premium recognition, and statutory disclosures and related insurance schedules • Serve as primary accounting liaison for statutory audits and insurance-specific reporting matters • Experience building scalable accounting processes and reporting infrastructure • Drive automation and system enhancements across ERP and insurance accounting workflows (e.g., NetSuite and policy/reinsurance data integrations) • Establish and document accounting policies and procedures across insurance finance activities • Serve as a key partner to insurance operations, underwriting, actuarial, and compliance teams • Support external audits (GAAP and statutory) and regulatory inquiries • Mentor and develop accounting staff as the insurance accounting function grows
