The engineer provides services supporting DNS, DHCP, NTP, PKI, Group Policy, Single Sign-On Authentication technologies and plans and implements end-to-end architectures utilizing appropriate components and protocols to support data center server operations. The engineer plans, implements and tests disaster recovery contingencies and provides advanced-level support to other IT professionals within the County for issues related to these technologies. Essential Functions: - Provide technical support and platform administration for the Server Team to include maintaining hardware and any associated software at current levels to ensure system productivity and availability - Develops strategy, technical direction and engineering solutions for enterprise-wide domain services supporting key business requirements - Serve as a project leader or team member for assigned projects and tasks - Provide assistance to other IS staff regarding server issues and act as second level support for the helpdesk on areas that the Server Team leads or supports NOTE: Additional Requirements: The position is subject to rotating 24-hour on-call requirements.
