• Build and manage a high-volume technician recruiting pipeline for a fast-growing Southeast partner company • Source, screen, and coordinate candidates through the hiring process with urgency and efficiency • Partner closely with local leadership and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and ideal candidate profiles • Develop creative sourcing strategies for skilled trades and blue-collar talent • Utilize trade schools, referrals, social media, local outreach, and job boards to attract talent • Write compelling job advertisements that generate quality applicant flow • Maintain accurate candidate tracking and pipeline management in Greenhouse • Ensure an excellent candidate experience throughout the hiring process • Keep hiring workflows organized so no candidate falls through the cracks
• Serve as the go-to financial authority on percentage-of-completion accounting across the portfolio; build and maintain the bridge between POC-recognized revenue and cash, and partner with controllers and auditors on policy questions. • Build, stress test, and identify flaws in complex financial models; own full P&L and cash picture across multiple businesses simultaneously, including percentage of revenue analysis, margin management, cost structure, working capital, cash conversion, and ROI decisions. • Actively use AI tools as operating infrastructure to accelerate financial analysis, automate routine modeling, and surface insights at the pace of the business; build or direct the construction of AI-enabled workflows that scale with the portfolio. • Develop probabilistic and scenario-based forecasts using leading indicators and business driver logic; own KPI tracking, sensitivity analysis, pricing analytics, gross margin improvement tracking, and labor and subcontractor cost analysis. • Serve as the financial operating voice on every deal the team pursues; contribute a grounded operating perspective to investment committee discussions pre-close, build post-close budgets from scratch with new CEOs, and track diligence-to-reality variances in real time. • Produce analysis that moves the team toward a clear conclusion and follows through on implementation; bring the confidence and credibility to raise a constructive perspective when the numbers point in a different direction. • Translate complex financial dynamics into clear, concise insights for the Group President and operating leaders; communicate at the operator level, delivering the right information at the right time to drive action.
• This is a high-impact operating role sitting at the center of Cobalt's Security group performance engine. • The VP of Operational Excellence owns gross margin expansion, operating system transformation, and technology-enabled performance improvement across all Cobalt Security partner companies. • You will drive measurable EBITDA improvement through field operations discipline, labor productivity, quoting integrity, and cross-business initiative execution. • This role requires someone who can work across multiple businesses simultaneously, influence without line authority, build systems from scratch, and leave every organization more capable than they found it. • You will report directly to the President of Security and your work will be visible at the portfolio level from day one. • You will own a real P&L number: success is measured by a direct EBITDA delivery target, with supporting KPIs including revenue per technician, billable utilization, and tech stack adoption across the portfolio.
• support the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning across multiple business units • analyze monthly actuals vs. budget and forecast, identify key variances, and deliver meaningful, decision-ready commentary to senior stakeholders • maintain and administer OneStream, managing data inputs across multiple business units and building reports used in monthly financial reporting and planning processes • develop and maintain financial models and dashboards that provide real-time, actionable insights into business performance • ensure accuracy across all reporting and analytics efforts, applying a rigorous check-and-balance process to every deliverable before it reaches leadership • prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and private equity sponsors, as well as quarterly financial reports for lenders • champion the adoption of AI tools and Microsoft Copilot to streamline financial workflows, automate reporting tasks, and introduce best-in-class operational practices across the team
• Lead post-acquisition financial integrations, partnering directly with newly acquired businesses • Own chart of accounts mapping and alignment across entities • Prepare and support opening balance sheets for each acquisition • Lead system cutovers and ERP onboarding • Drive month-end close improvements and standardization across portfolio companies • Identify and remediate legacy accounting issues and process gaps at acquired businesses • Assist in preparing purchase price allocation (PPA) schedules, including fair value adjustments and opening balance sheet entries • Develop expertise in ASC 805 (purchase accounting) — no prior experience required, but willingness to learn is essential • Partner cross-functionally with deal, diligence, and accounting teams to ensure seamless integrations
• Issue purchase orders for security hardware, low-voltage equipment, network gear, and installation materials based on project needs and stock levels. • Track and manage inventory replenishment using field service software (e.g., ServiceTitan) and coordinate deliveries to job sites or warehouses. • Source vendors and negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and return terms for items such as access control systems, cameras, NVRs, and structured cabling. • Maintain relationships with key suppliers and monitor vendor performance. • Work with project managers and service coordinators to align procurement with install schedules and avoid delays. • Assist with RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and warranty processes. • Process incoming vendor invoices, match them with purchase orders and packing slips, and ensure accurate GL coding. • Maintain up-to-date vendor records, W-9 forms, and payment terms within accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct). • Manage weekly payment runs via check, ACH, or credit card, and ensure early-payment discounts and project cash flow targets are met. • Monitor the AP aging report, resolve discrepancies, and respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly. • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and AP reporting for job costing.

Role Description As a foundational member of the people team, the Senior Accounting Recruiter will be part of a team of recruiters responsible for all hires at HQ and in our Partner Companies. This position will focus mainly on identifying, attracting, and securing A-level Controller and Accounting talent across the Cobalt ecosystem, while providing an outstanding candidate experience and maintaining strong partnerships with hiring managers and business stakeholders. In addition, this individual will have the opportunity to lean into building processes and implementing recruiting systems and best practices to support the growth of a rapidly growing organization where talent is critical to success. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree. - 2+ years executive recruiting experience, ideally with exposure to recruiting critical Accounting leadership roles. Exposure to recruiting in private equity-backed or highly acquisitive organizations is a strong plus. - Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives. - Deep understanding of executive search methodology and leadership team dynamics. - Superior written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to consistently identify candidates who exceed expectations and achieve long-term success. - Resourceful and scrappy; eager to roll up sleeves and get the job done. - Experience with or deep respect for the trades. Requirements - The annualized cash compensation for this role is expected to be between $110,000 and $120,000. Actual base + bonus pay may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and the applicant’s skill set. - Additional elements include a comprehensive benefits package.
