Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years executive recruiting experience, ideally with exposure to recruiting critical Accounting leadership roles. Exposure to recruiting in private equity-backed or highly acquisitive organizations is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives
- Deep understanding of executive search methodology and leadership team dynamics
- Superior written and verbal communication skill
- Ability to consistently identify candidates who exceed expectations and achieve long-term success
- Resourceful and scrappy; eager to roll up sleeves and get the job done
- Experience with or deep respect for the trades

Overview BigBear.ai is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager, Technical Accounting and Revenue Recognition. The Manager will play a critical role as a key contributor to various accounting functions at BigBear.ai. This position requires a meticulous accounting professional who can ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, support financial reporting, and collaborate closely with the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounting specifically in the government contracting industry, strong analytical skills, and a passion for leveraging technology and improving processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness. This role can be performed fully remotely anywhere in the Continental United States with preference to the Washington DC Metro area. What you will do Accounting Operations / Reporting: - Take lead role in implementation, compliance, and ongoing analysis of revenue recognition policies in accordance with ASC 606 - Ensure accurate contract review, revenue treatment, and financial reporting related to revenue streams. - Assist in the monthly close process, including preparing workpapers and reconciliations. - Record monthly journal entries ensuring accuracy and appropriate documentation and approvals, primarily related to the order-to-cash (revenue) cycle. - Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and variance analysis. - Assist in preparing and reviewing Quarterly SEC filings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations. - Prepare technical accounting memos on an ad-hoc basis supporting matters to include business combinations, stock-based compensation, derivatives and convertible debt, among others.
