Role Description We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Systems Engineer & Engineering Team Lead to define our technical foundation, architect our next-generation power solutions, and lead our multi-disciplinary engineering design team. In this pivotal role, you will own the end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle—bridging the gap between product management requirements and physical engineering execution. Define the electrical, mechanical, thermal, and logical boundaries and interfaces. - Verification & Validation (V&V): Formulate comprehensive verification matrices, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) protocols, and field commissioning guidelines to validate system performance. - Electrical Power Systems Engineering - Critical Component Integration: Evaluate, specify, and select heavy electrical subsystems including high-capacity double-conversion UPS systems, static transfer switches (STS), switchgear, protective relays, and other critical subsystems. - Engineering Studies: Direct and review system modeling analyses, including short-circuit, protective relay coordination, arc flash, and harmonic mitigation studies. - Compliance Alignment: Ensure all system architectures natively comply with industry-defining standards (e.g., UL 9540A for BESS, UL 891/1558 for switchgear, NFPA 70/70E, and CE/IEC equivalents). - DFX (Design for X): Partner with manufacturing and service teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, transportability, and fast field installation. Technical Expertise & Methodologies - Power Systems: Expert-level mastery of 3-phase AC/DC power systems, MV/LV power conversion topologies, utility protection schemes, and grounding methods. - Systems Engineering: Hands-on experience with systems engineering frameworks, specifically boundary diagrams, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and requirements traceability matrices. - Grid Connection: Strong familiarity with utility interconnection requirements and power quality standards.
