Role Description Join Team CARFAX as a Strategic Inside Sales Representative. The Strategic Inside Sales Representative position is a newly created, fully remote inside sales position focused on growing revenue within our existing dealer partner base. Working from your home office, you will connect with current CARFAX Advantage dealers via phone and Zoom to present, demonstrate, and sell marketing and service-related tools designed to help dealers sell cars faster, drive more service revenue, and increase customer retention. This is a highly collaborative role — you will work closely with Field Sales Representatives and Account Managers to identify upsell opportunities, execute on growth strategies, and ensure dealer partners are fully leveraging the CARFAX suite of products. - Conduct outbound phone and Zoom-based sales calls to current CARFAX dealer partners, presenting targeted upsell opportunities in marketing tools and service-related solutions. - Partner closely with Field Sales Representatives and Account Managers to identify dealer needs, coordinate account strategies, and deliver a seamless, consultative sales experience. - Educate dealers on how CARFAX marketing and service tools can help them move inventory faster, grow service lane revenue, and improve customer retention. - Meet and exceed monthly sales quotas and activity metrics; participate in and win sales contests. - Manage a defined book of business within your assigned dealer territory or segment. - Track all activity, pipeline, and customer information accurately in Salesforce CRM. - Bring energy, creativity, and a competitive spirit to daily team collaboration and strategy discussions. Qualifications - 2–4+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in an inside sales, phone-based, or virtual selling environment; automotive industry experience a strong plus. - Proven track record of success in upselling or expanding revenue within an existing customer base. - Strong ability to connect with, influence, and close decision makers via phone and video. - A consultative selling approach — you listen first, then solve. - Excellent verbal communication and virtual presentation skills; comfortable leading Zoom-based product demos and conversations. - A collaborative team player who thrives working cross-functionally with field and account management colleagues. - Self-directed and highly organized; able to manage a large book of business independently from a home office environment. - Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and time management skills. - Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and MS Office products; comfort with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.). - Driven, motivated, and passionate about selling — and about helping dealer partners win.
