A child study is a comprehensive historical document that includes the medical and social history of a child who will be adopted. The documents also includes significant life events of the child and their resultant impacts. This document is reviewed by the prospective adoptive family, and is expected to be of the standard of a full and complete history of the child. The hourly employee will write the child study, based on specific instructions below from Colorado Department of Human Services. Information will be gathered from case records, medical records, school records, interviews and third -party reports. Examples of the type of information included are birth records, health of the pregnant mother, significant medical history, family history. This is an hourly, non-benefited position that will work 10-15 hours per week in a flexible schedule. This position will work remote and out of 515 Coffman St., Longmont, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime). Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
