Role Description Atwell’s Land Solutions team is growing, and we’re looking for a Document Management Specialist to support active projects across transmission, pipeline, and renewable energy markets. This is a detail-driven, operations-focused role where your ability to manage title, lease documentation, and project files directly impacts the success and timing of land acquisition efforts. You’ll serve as a key partner to Project Managers and Land Agents -- ensuring documents are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time across a high-volume project environment. Role Description Atwell is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Power Generation to lead a growing portfolio of projects across our Power & Energy team. This is a senior leadership role responsible for advancing utility-scale and large-scale infrastructure projects across Solar, BESS, Wind, Transmission, Substation, and related power delivery and generation systems. As the Director, you will lead a dynamic team of Associate Directors, Project Managers, and technical design staff, providing both technical leadership and client-facing expertise. This role will be instrumental in staff development, recruiting, operational execution, and annual business planning, helping drive sustainable growth and support company revenue goals across the broader Power Generation market. Role Description Fire Safety Advisor – BESS is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all safety, health, and environmental (HSE) programs related to Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role ensures regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and a strong safety culture across all phases of BESS development, construction, commissioning, and operations. Fire Safety Advisor will serve as the subject matter expert for BESS-specific hazards, including electrical safety, thermal runaway risk, fire prevention, and emergency response. Job Responsibilities - Serve as the primary safety authority for all BESS and related projects. - Champion a proactive, “zero-incident” safety culture across all teams and contractors. - Identify and mitigate hazards related to high-voltage systems, lithium-ion batteries, thermal runaway, arc flash, and fire suppression systems. - Review BESS designs, layouts, and construction methodologies for safety and code compliance. - Develop and implement Emergency Response Plans (ERP) for fire, explosion, and hazardous material events. - Coordinate with local fire departments, client personnel, and emergency responders on site-specific response planning. - Oversee site safety plans (SSSP) for all BESS construction projects. - Conduct site audits, inspections, and safety observations. - Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), energized work permits, confined space, hot work, and fall protection requirements. - Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. - Oversee the staffing and training of core site safety professionals to staff all BESS projects. - Build a team of supporting contractors that provide additional safety staffing as needed. - Manage safety documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping. - Serve as the primary contact during regulatory inspections or audits. - Track and report safety metrics, KPIs, and trends to executive leadership. - Deliver BESS-specific safety training programs. - Ensure required certifications and qualifications are maintained for employees and contractors. - Lead toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and leadership safety engagements. Role Description Atwell, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support and help lead complex projects across our Power & Energy team, with a focus on Power Generation. This role will play a key part in overseeing and coordinating engineering efforts related to substation physical design, protection and controls (P&C), and interconnection for utility-scale renewable energy projects including solar, wind, and BESS. As a senior member of the team, this individual will provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary project teams, support client-facing engineering execution, and help guide projects from early development through detailed design and delivery. This is an opportunity to join a growing national team supporting some of the most impactful projects in power generation and grid infrastructure. - Lead and oversee electrical engineering design efforts for power generation projects, with primary involvement in substation physical, protection and controls, and interconnection engineering. - Coordinate with internal teams across civil, structural, SCADA, transmission, distribution, studies, project management, and construction to ensure integrated and high-quality project execution. - Support the development, review, and delivery of engineering packages including one-lines, three-lines, wiring diagrams, relay schemes, physical layouts, design criteria, technical reports, specifications, and bills of material. - Provide senior-level technical guidance for interconnection support, including review of utility requirements, interconnection packages, and engineering deliverables tied to ISO/RTO and utility processes. - Oversee engineering quality, technical accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes and standards including NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, NFPA, and internal QA/QC procedures. - Partner with project managers and leadership on scope development, scheduling, resource planning, budgeting, proposal support, and change order review. - Participate in client meetings, design reviews, site walkdowns, and construction support, serving as a technical representative for the electrical team. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. - 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering within power generation, substations, utility infrastructure, or renewable energy projects. - Strong background supporting or overseeing substation physical design and/or protection and controls design for medium- to high-voltage projects. - Experience supporting interconnection-related engineering efforts for utility-scale generation projects, including coordination with utilities, developers, and internal studies teams. - Working knowledge of applicable industry standards and practices including NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and NFPA. - Proficiency with engineering and design tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office, with exposure to power systems software such as ETAP, SKM, PSS/E, PSCAD, ASPEN, PowerWorld, or similar tools preferred. - PE license preferred, or the ability to obtain licensure based on experience and career level. This role is ideal for a designer with experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry who understands how to translate complex technical content into clear, compelling visual communications. In this role, you will partner closely with proposal, marketing, and leadership teams to elevate how we present our work—supporting pursuits, strengthening brand consistency, and enhancing how we communicate across all touchpoints. You’ll play a key role in shaping materials that directly impact business development and client engagement. This is a remote position supporting teams across the U.S. Key Responsibilities - Design and produce high-quality branded materials supporting proposals, SOQs, and client pursuits within the AEC space - Translate technical content (engineering, land, infrastructure, energy projects) into clear, visually compelling layouts and graphics - Create proposal templates, infographics, maps, and presentation materials that enhance readability and win themes - Support business development efforts through polished, deadline-driven design execution for active pursuits - Execute creative assets for internal and external communications, including presentations, digital campaigns, and marketing collateral - Ensure consistent application of Atwell’s brand standards across all deliverables and business lines - Maintain and evolve brand templates, particularly those used for proposals and technical documentation - Organize and manage digital asset libraries, including project imagery and reusable graphics - Collaborate with proposal managers, technical staff, and marketing partners to align messaging and visuals - Conduct periodic audits of proposal and marketing materials to ensure brand and quality consistency - Incorporate feedback quickly and effectively, especially under tight proposal deadlines Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Visual Communications, or related field - 1–3+ years of experience in the AEC industry or supporting professional services firms (engineering, consulting, construction, or related) - Proven experience supporting proposal development, SOQs, or business development materials - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) - Strong understanding of layout design, typography, and visual hierarchy—particularly for long-form, content-heavy documents - Ability to work with technical teams and translate complex information into clear visuals - Highly detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills - Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments (especially proposal cycles) - Experience maintaining brand standards across multiple teams or business units #LI-CF1 Atwell Benefits: To attract and retain the best professionals in the industry, we aim to provide an excellent working environment and a progressive benefits program designed to support your personal and professional needs.
