Ascent offers our customer’s worldwide services that meet our clients complete logistical and supply chain needs. - The job of the NFO Time Critical Specialist is very varied and no one day is ever the same as the team is operating 24/7. - The NFO Desk Time Critical Specialist is responsible for tasks in each shipment, from order entry through each milestone of the shipments to ensure the team attains the critical delivery times and optimize overall on-time performance. - The Time Critical Specialist has daily responsibility to ensure excellent service is delivered to our customers during all telephone/email and virtual contacts. - They will provide professional service to customers and liaising with key parties including vendors, internal Ascent teams, and leadership. - The Time Critical Specialist reports directly to the NFO Desk Supervisor. - Working as a Time Critical Specialist involves liaising directly with clients, company leadership, Managers, other Ascent teams, vendors, and carriers. - The Time Critical Specialist will be responsible for processing shipment orders in accordance with established procedures and standards. - Administer the correct processes of each shipment, ensuring all SOPs are followed properly in regard to order management and the set up and alerting of each shipment, tracking, and communication. - Escalate issues, errors, and delays immediately per processes set forth. - Complete all appropriate training assigned. - Train and learn new/revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and organizational policies. - Communicate to the supervisor any unusual occurrences, emergency situations, and any situation that could disrupt the level of operations and/or customer service. - Communicate and document all service issues that may impact the next shift or requiring special attention to their shift supervisor. - Meet and exceed Ascent performance and productivity expectations including but not limited to phones, emails, and task management. - Follow Task Logs and monitor for status being updated within a 10-minute window. - Follow New orders and monitor for updating within a 10-minute window. - Participate in regular department meetings, assisting in training and information rollouts as needed. - Always copy Leadership on all emails and correspondence involving operations. - Action emails and responses in less than 10 minutes. - Adhere to all phone protocols and performance standards. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications - High school diploma or general education degree (GED). - Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). - Outstanding customer service skills required. - Understanding of world geography and United States Geography. - Experience with Next Flight out shipments, systems, and vendor operations is strongly preferred. - Ability to work under pressure and follow through on tasks. - Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and simultaneously. - Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through. - Proven ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with direct staff, management peers, and senior level management. Role Description The Account Manager, School Partnerships position is a full-time position that will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Loan Program Management. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strong and positive relationships with our partner schools. The role is focused on the highest level of customer service with an additional focus on business development and growing accounts through upselling, program development, and cross-selling opportunities. - Develop and maintain long-term relationships with all core representatives at new and existing partner schools. - Serve as primary point of contact for new school onboarding, new product implementations, and partner school updates, including live trainings and regular partner check-ins and updates. - Own (no-code) technical onboarding from approved to go-live for each partner school. - Collect required partner school information. - Build platform, application, and grants access for each program & school. - May coordinate with additional third parties related to the school partnership. - Identify opportunities to expand Ascent's partnership with existing partner schools through new product offerings and strategic cross-selling opportunities. - Answer inquiries and provide expert level support to partner schools on their role in the funding experience. - Manage change both internally and externally, implementing changes initiated by partner schools, and communicating changes initiated by Ascent, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned. - Serve as the internal expert on all assigned partner schools by maintaining an organized case file for each partner school, flagging any concerns internally, and collaborating on strategic updates. - Collaborate with other Ascent team members across different business lines to ensure consistent and streamlined service for all partner schools. - Communicate with partner schools on behalf of Ascent including sharing school level reports, inquiries regarding complaints, and unique issues at the request of other teams (Fulfillment, Compliance, Treasury, etc.). - Facilitate follow-up conversations between partner school and Ascent teams as needed for deeper understanding of reporting, complaints, or other partnership requests. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, Alternative closely related experience considered (8+ years). - 2-4 years of account management role and/or 3-6 years of customer service experience. - Proven track record of cultivating positive relationships amongst client accounts, co-workers, and management. - Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. - Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate resources and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as attentiveness to details and a commitment to follow up. - The ability to apply creative problem-solving techniques to situations using sound business judgment and collaboration. - Comfort with public speaking and teaching or training internal and external stakeholders. - Proficient in MS Office, with extensive knowledge of MS Excel.
