• Execute the cloud-first IGA/IAM modernization roadmap, orchestrating enterprise-wide application onboarding and replacing legacy systems with highly scalable, standardized identity service platforms. • Engineer and automate end-to-end identity lifecycle event flows (Joiner/Mover/Leaver) and access certification workflows, eliminating manual operations through API integrations, infrastructure-as-code, and platform-native automation capabilities. • Direct and mentor a high-performing engineering team using Agile frameworks, establishing standard operating procedures, robust change management, and a culture of continuous delivery for identity security solutions. • Optimize and secure hybrid directory infrastructure, maintaining deep technical control over Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, and market-leading enterprise IGA platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, OneIdentity). • Serve as the primary technical escalation authority and compliance SME, managing internal/external IAM audits, designing robust security control documentation, and translating complex identity risk data into strategic counsel for senior leadership.
• The Director will act as a thought partner with market and system teams supporting: market entry assessments, enterprise capital planning, business transformation, and enterprise growth. • Contribute to advancing the Corporate Strategy team’s goals to deliver on Ascension’s growth imperatives, vision, and mission. • Build frameworks and methodologies by which the Corporate Strategy Team will pursue market entry, access, and business transformation / revenue diversification opportunities. • Support National and Ministry Market leaders in strategic growth opportunity evaluation, including but not limited to: capital project evaluation, growth strategy design, new market evaluation, and revenue transformation/diversification assessments. • Be a thought partner for Ministry Market Strategy Teams in the development of strategic growth goals, volume & growth forecasting, and market growth opportunities. • Oversee execution and performance management of strategic growth initiatives. • Support management of progress-to-plan and monthly Ministry Market business performance. • Continually review, understand, and incorporate industry and competitive environment dynamics into strategy design and deployment.
• Own and optimize the enterprise WAN and SD-WAN environment, ensuring resilient, high-performance connectivity across geographically distributed locations and critical business operations. • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex WAN and routing issues, leading root-cause analysis and restoring service across large-scale, multi-site production networks. • Drive continuous improvement of the network platform through SD-WAN optimization, upgrades, migrations, and operational enhancements across Cisco Meraki and Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN environments.
• Develop and execute a multi-year strategic insights agenda that identifies emerging consumer, market, competitive, and healthcare industry trends to inform enterprise priorities, service-line investments, and long-term planning. • Partner with senior leaders across Strategy, Marketing, Communications, Operations, and Clinical Growth functions to address critical business questions. Influence decision-making by delivering clear, evidence-based perspectives on consumer acquisition drivers and changing healthcare behaviors. • Create a holistic view of the market by integrating primary research, behavioral data, and external market intelligence. • Lead the Corporate Strategy team's growth priorities across the enterprise to drive strategic market expansion and large scale business transformation. • Build advanced frameworks and methodologies for the Corporate Strategy team to evaluate market entry, capital planning, and access opportunities across National and Ministry Market settings. • Support executive leadership in the design and evaluation of strategic growth initiatives including capital project assessments and volume forecasting to ensure alignment with organizational vision. • Oversee the execution and performance management of growth imperatives while monitoring monthly business performance and progress to plan across all markets. • Incorporate complex industry and competitive intelligence into strategy design to ensure Ascension remains proactive and resilient within the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Negotiate contract pricing, terms, and conditions, including complex licensing models, with IT suppliers to minimize risk for all healthcare participants while achieving a competitive advantage in total cost, quality, technology, and supply continuity. • Conduct analyses of sourcing data, market trends, benchmarking, and IT-specific factors to develop, review, and ensure defendable sourcing strategies are continuously improved and aligned with category, technical, and organizational goals. • Ensure all sourcing strategies and supply chain processes are consistently applied, properly administered, and transparent in full compliance with all regulations, internal policies, and security requirements, while actively supporting risk mitigation. • Develop and facilitate collaborative working relationships with Finance, Legal, Corporate Risk, IT stakeholders, and other teams to validate vendor capabilities and ensure contract terms reflect operational, clinical, and security priorities. • Perform contract management and maintenance tasks throughout the lifecycle, including strategic review of new requests and expiration records, processing amendments, extensions, modifications, and renewals for both general and IT-specific agreements. • Provide regular updates on category and IT strategies, supplier relationship management programs, and status of process improvement initiatives, including key performance metrics related to cost optimization, innovation, and service performance.
• Next-Gen Transformation: Take telecom to the next generation by leading the redesign of our enterprise trunking network, optimizing our E911 infrastructure, and driving Contact Center modernization toward natural language processing and automation. • Cloud Architecture Migrations: Mature existing telecom solution designs by expanding cloud architecture. Oversee the upcoming fiscal year migration of Cisco on-premise CUCM environments to Cisco Dedicated Instance / Multi-Tenant (DI/MT) platforms across key markets, while maintaining our primary Avaya footprint in most markets. • Technical Governance: Exercise judgment and influence on key technical decisions, standards, policies, environment selection, and data flows. Review, evaluate, and formally sign off on High-Level Design (HLD) documentation for incoming project requests. • Enterprise Standards: Establish unified telecommunications standards across all clinical tiers (acute care, outpatient, clinics, and emergency departments) and align with broader security and infrastructure directives. • Architecture Assessment: Assess existing architectures for cloud readiness or modernization opportunities, including monitoring performance, cost optimization and security compliance.
• Lead the architecture and evolution of enterprise load balancing and application delivery platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and resiliency for mission-critical applications across on-premises and cloud environments. • Serve as the technical authority for Layer 4–7 traffic management, defining standards, best practices, and strategic direction across F5, Citrix ADC, and VMware AVI platforms. • Drive innovation and modernization by partnering across infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver scalable solutions, solve complex production challenges, and shape the future of the organization's application delivery ecosystem.
• Provide advice, support, and counsel to the legal function for strategic and operational priorities. • Keep current with legal developments affecting the health law practice area to incorporate into advice and support.
