Role Description We're looking for excellent English teachers to tutor our students as they prepare for high-stakes English proficiency exams. You'll work directly with learners from around the world, helping them improve their English and hit the scores they need for university admission, immigration, and careers. - This is a flexible, fully remote role. - You set your own hours and tutor as much or as little as fits your life. - You can be based anywhere in the world; there's no requirement to be in the US or any specific country. - We provide the lesson plans, so you can focus on teaching rather than prep. - Our plans are living documents: we'll count on you to adapt them to each student and provide feedback. Getting Started: Paid Training - Before you take on students, you'll complete a paid onboarding and training program — roughly 10 hours, compensated at a flat $150. - This covers our teaching approach, the lesson-plan materials, the exam formats we prepare students for, and how we work together. Qualifications - Native or fully fluent English speaker (C2 level) with excellent pronunciation. - Experience teaching English (ESL/EFL, test preparation, or academic English). - Strong command of English grammar and the ability to explain complex concepts simply and clearly. - Self-directed and reliable: you manage your own schedule and show up for your students. - Comfortable in a startup environment: adaptable, open to feedback, and willing to help us improve as we grow. - A quiet space and a stable internet connection suitable for live online tutoring. Requirements - Experience with DET, IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, TOEIC, or other English proficiency exams (nice to have). - Experience tutoring online and working with students across time zones and first languages (nice to have). The Role You'll own Arno's social media presence for TOEFL in Korea, a key growth market for us. You'll combine your knowledge of English test preparation with a deep understanding of what resonates with Korean audiences to build a following from the ground up. This role does not require that you live in Korea. You just need to know the Korean market well. Role Description You'll be our first dedicated hire for the Korean market, responsible for both shaping our marketing strategy there and executing on it. That means understanding where our target audience (Korean students aged 16–24 who want to study abroad at English-medium universities) spends their time, and building a presence there. Responsibilities - Develop and execute Arno's Korean marketing strategy - Publish blog posts and educational content on Naver and other relevant platforms (Note: We are hiring a social media specialist, so you would focus on other platforms.) - Engage with potential customers in online communities (Naver Cafe, KakaoTalk, etc.), answering questions about English proficiency tests and Arno's products - Build and manage relationships with Korean content creators, including affiliate/influencer partnerships and freelance content contributors Qualifications - Native Korean speaker with strong written communication skills in both Korean and English - Fluent in English, as you'll regularly produce exam tips and educational content that requires a solid command of the language - Deep familiarity with the Korean study-abroad landscape - Strong knowledge of Korean digital marketing channels, including Naver Blog, Naver Cafe, and KakaoTalk - Self-directed and comfortable wearing many hats and working with a high degree of independence Requirements - $18 USD/hour, 20 hours per week - Annual performance bonus based on individual contribution and company results - Payment via Wise in your currency of choice (converted from USD at the prevailing rate at time of payment) Working style This is a fully remote role, so you can work from anywhere.
