Role Description You'll own Arno's social media presence for the DET globally. You'll be the face and voice of Arno for millions of prospective DET test-takers worldwide, and you'll use data to continuously sharpen what you make. Responsibilities - Produce one piece of content per day — a reel, post, or story — and publish it across the relevant platform(s). - Develop content that educates, engages, and converts prospective DET test-takers. - Monitor performance metrics (views, engagement, follower growth, click-throughs) and use them to iterate on your content strategy. - Stay current on platform trends and adapt formats accordingly. Qualifications - Full English fluency (C1+ CEFR level). - Experience teaching English as a second language. - A demonstrated passion for creating high-performing social media content. - A track record of using metrics to iterate on and improve content. - Deep knowledge of what content succeeds on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. - Video editing proficiency (CapCut, Premiere, or similar). Nice to Have - Familiarity with the Duolingo English Test. Compensation - $1,500 USD/month, output-based (1 piece of content per day). - Annual performance bonus based on individual contribution and company results. - Payment via Wise in your currency of choice (converted from USD at the prevailing rate at time of payment). Working Style This is a fully remote, output-based role. You have full flexibility over when and how you work, as long as content goes out daily. We're a low-meeting team. You'll report directly to Otto, co-founder and CEO.

A bit about the role We are looking for a creative and strategic Head of Media on a permanent contract to lead, plan and deliver media relation strategies and activities to highlight the work of Action for Children and issues related to vulnerable children, young people and families. How you'll help to create brighter futures - Lead development and delivery of Action for Children’s media relations. - Lead, manage and motivate the Media Relations Team and to matrix manage devolved press officers in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - Plan, manage and deliver a range of proactive and reactive news, and corporate media activities nationally and regionally. - Support the development and implementation of a cultivation plan to build relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers. - Lead and co-ordinate innovative and creative approaches to highlight the impact of the work of Action for Children. - Oversee development and implementation of media events. - Work collaboratively with Influencing and Public Affairs to develop media strategies. Let's talk about you - Experience of managing professional media staff to deliver key objectives. - Demonstrable track record and experience of working in a newsroom or busy press office. - Demonstrable strong written and communication skills. - Managing and building relationships with key stakeholders and external stakeholders. - Managing a budget, including reporting. - Proven knowledge of the UK media landscape covering news, consumer, and PR outlets. - Demonstrable relationships in the media sector. - Demonstrate good news judgement and understand what works for media.
