Role Description This fully remote DVM role focuses on the review, interpretation, and reporting of PennHIP radiographs to support the evaluation of canine hip quality and joint health. Responsibilities include: - Assessing radiographic image quality and positioning. - Interpreting hip imaging studies for evidence of hip laxity and degenerative joint disease. - Calculating distraction index measurements. - Validating AI-assisted measurements for clinical accuracy. - Preparing detailed diagnostic imaging reports. - Evaluating veterinarian proficiency submissions. - Maintaining accurate breed registry and database records. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Evaluate PennHIP radiographs for adequate quality and proper positioning. Training covering specific PennHIP set-up and scoring details will be provided virtually. - Perform routine interpretation of radiographs (hip-extended, compression, and distraction views) for clinical assessment of hip quality, including assessment of coxofemoral degenerative joint disease (DJD). - Analyze and coordinate hand-calculated distraction index measurements with those generated by artificial intelligence tools to arrive at the most reliable and rapid measures of hip laxity. - Generate comprehensive and accurate diagnostic imaging reports for all PennHIP cases using the PennHIP reporting software. - Evaluate a specified set of radiographs from 3 separate dogs to determine the proficiency of new PennHIP veterinarians in general practice. - Communicate directly with submitting clinics regarding inadequate radiographic technique and provide constructive suggestions for correction. - Discuss complex cases with staff radiologists as needed, specifically for abnormalities falling outside of standard DJD or hip joint laxity. - Communicate with referring veterinarians to provide case updates or gather necessary clinical context. - Interact with technical support to resolve questions or concerns regarding case submissions, client data, or patient information. - Meet regularly with the PennHIP Director, Gail Smith, for scheduling matters and guidance on unusual or complex cases. - Accurately enter all PennHIP data into the appropriate breed-specific registries. - Ensure the overall database remains up-to-date, organized, and strictly accurate at all times. Qualifications - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent. This individual works at the intersection of technical engineering and operational excellence, ensuring our communication systems are as compassionate as they are efficient. The Manager will collaborate with leaders across the Antech Organization to transform complex data into "Stand-Out Moments" for our veterinary partners. By leveraging advanced Studio scripting, AI-driven data, and seamless CRM integrations, they empower our frontline associates with the tools needed to provide industry-leading diagnostic support. The Specialty Products Technical Support Agent provides medical and technical support to clinics for products as they relate to animal health care. This position performs a variety of responsibilities that require sound judgment and patience to provide a high level of efficient customer service while regularly managing a large volume of inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and emails. This position works both independently and within a team environment and must be open to input and feedback from colleagues. PURPOSE OF JOB: The Assistant Director of Clinical Pathology will report directly to the Director of Clinical Pathology. This position will oversee roughly half of the clinical pathologists, and will be responsible for monitoring, training, reviewing and mentoring Pathologists in their current assignments, as well as contributing to career development. The Clinical Pathologist in this position will dedicate 50% of the time to interpreting cytology, hematology and urine sediments and complete diagnostic reports. The remainder 50% of the time will be dedicated to managerial and administrative duties. This role will join our Medical Operations leadership team and will be remote in North America. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job related skills, experience, education, training and budget. The hiring salary range for this position is $180,000-$195,000. This position is also eligible to earn an annual incentive. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Examination and interpretation of digitized and glass slide cytology, blood films, and urine sediments. - Consultation with Antech Clients regarding cytology results or other laboratory findings related to blood and urinalysis reviews. - Assist in the recruitment, training, and continuous development of clinical pathology professional staff. Help to identify, plan and facilitate continuing education programs for Antech Clinical Pathologists. - Manage a team of staff clinical pathologists, responsible for performance standards of it in relation to quality, efficiency and productivity. - Responsible for monitoring of work performance of professional staff and employee performance evaluations. - Contribute to the design and management of studies related to clinical pathology especially as it pertains to artificial intelligence and digital cytology. - Responsible for timely and accurate response to quality issues as related to clinical pathology, when they occur and liaison with QA and operations to determine root cause and implement a corrective and preventative action. - Work closely with other operational support departments such as Laboratory Operations. IT, Medical Affairs, Client Services, Laboratory Coordinators and Marketing. - Commitment to achieving company goals. - Attend annual meetings with members of the Antech leadership team as needed. - Responsible for assisting the Director of Clinical Pathology and operations with implementation and continued improvement of digital cytology both at the POC and reference lab level. - Responsible for assisting the Director of Clinical Pathology innovation and development of artificial intelligence as related to digital cytology. - Responsible for assisting the Director of Clinical Pathology and primary scheduler with clinical pathology scheduling automated development. - Responsible for individual/team education of clinical pathologists in regards to report writing, work efficiency, and diagnostic quality improvements. - Maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through regular continuing education. - Assist in other duties as assigned, relevant to Clinical Pathology and other lab services. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent - Diplomate of American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Strong diagnostic skills in cytopathology, hematology, and urinalysis. - Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as a collaborative team member. - Ability to work efficiently while keeping a high level of quality. - Flexibility to changing methodologies, technologies, and standard operating procedures. - Previous supervisory experience preferred. - Analytical and problem solving skills. - Ability to prioritize. - Strong passion for helping people and animals. - Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. - Previous experience in a lab environment a plus. - Proven ability to work effectively with clients and management is required. - The ability to potentially work remotely with minimal supervision. - Previous experience with Dragon software a plus. - Fluency in English. Job Purpose/Overview The Equipment Account Manager brings a high level of value to Antech’s full service diagnostic solution in the veterinary industry. The objective of this role is to meet or exceed sales revenue targets by positioning and selling Sound Imaging diagnostic equipment including: Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Laser and CT systems. Through a team approach, the Equipment Account Manager will be partner with the region’s Diagnostics Sales Managers to assist in the creation and development of lab opportunities which creates a full diagnostic solution for our veterinary customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Identify, qualify and close business leads and sales opportunities in assigned territory. - Prospect, forecast, and drive new business opportunities in assigned territory. - Understand and maintain a high level of knowledge about the target market, as well as the products and services offered by Antech-Sound - Demonstrate products with and without live animals and effectively communicate corporate and product positioning to prospective customers. - Work closely with new and existing Industry partners. - Document data for all activities in Salesforce - Work closely with Sales team regarding lead generation activities. - Represent Antech-Sound in a professional manner in the assigned territory, and at regional and national tradeshows. - Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with clients and team members. - Aptitude in computer programs to manage daily business activities and communication through CRM and Microsoft Office programs. - Effectively deliver timely completion of all required reports; Pipeline / Forecast / Expense. - Developing and aligning plans to support business strategies; translating objectives into action plan Education and Experience - Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. - 2+ years diagnostic imaging sales experience - Working knowledge of Veterinary and/or clinical diagnostic environment. - Demonstrable experience is overachievement of quota and revenue goals. - Experience building a pipeline; qualifying and identifying deals to close.
