Role Description At ANS, the Data Solution Architect is pivotal in shaping and delivering end-to-end data solutions that align with business objectives and technical standards. This role focuses on designing robust, scalable architectures that enable seamless data integration, advanced analytics, and secure data management across diverse platforms. Working closely with engineers and stakeholders, the Data Solution Architect ensures that solutions are not only technically sound but also optimised for performance, reliability, and future growth. While hands-on implementation may occasionally be required, the primary responsibility lies in defining architectural patterns, guiding technical decisions, and translating complex requirements into actionable designs that drive value for both internal teams and customers. - Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers and internal teams through complex architectural decisions with a focus on business value, scalability, and technical excellence. - Design and document end-to-end data solutions clearly and accurately for internal and customer use, ensuring alignment with ANS standards and best practices. - Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to align on delivery timelines, report progress, and manage risks, while acting as a key point of contact for customer SMEs and technical teams to clarify requirements and solution design. - Contribute to discovery and planning, identifying areas such as governance, security, maturity, adoption, and functional/non-functional requirements, and provide actionable recommendations. - Educate and enable customers and internal teams, building knowledge of enterprise data platforms, architectural patterns, and best practices. - Engage in continuous learning through certifications (e.g., DP-600, DP-700, AI-900, AI-102) and development days to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. - Participate in the Data Architecture Guild, sharing knowledge, influencing standards, and helping shape architectural practices across ANS. - Ensure information security and compliance are embedded in all designs, adhering to business policies and procedures. Qualifications - Deep expertise in Big Data architecture and design, with significant experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions. - Design and implementation experience with at least three of the following: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Databricks. - Microsoft Fabric knowledge, including architecture design and integration with existing data ecosystems. - Data catalogue, modelling, warehousing, and analytics experience across multiple platforms. - Proven understanding of security and governance, including cloud infrastructure, compliance frameworks, and data protection principles. - Strong presentation and visualisation skills using a variety of customer facing tools to present diagrams and designs. - Cloud proficiency with Azure, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and services across IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS. - Knowledge of Well-Architected Frameworks, security principles, and Agile/Waterfall project lifecycles. - Database expertise in SQL and NoSQL technologies. Requirements - Programming and automation: SQL, Python, Azure DevOps. - IoT design architecture for connected solutions. - Master Data Management (MDM) design and implementation. - Architecture and cloud-related certifications, e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert. - Experience with emerging technologies such as real-time analytics, AI/ML integration, and data mesh principles. Role Description A Senior Project Manager at ANS delivers small to medium-sized projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed scope and quality standards. The role focuses on strong stakeholder communication, effective governance, and driving customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. - Leads and supports on escalations as required, stepping into Lead Project Management responsibilities when needed. - Able to work effectively across multiple delivery frameworks and diverse technology stacks. Roles and Responsibilities - Project Delivery & Governance - Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality to achieve successful outcomes. - Maintain and report on project governance tools (RAID logs, status reports, financial tracking). - Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies. - Chair and facilitate regular project governance meetings. - Financial & Commercial Management - Track project budgets and forecast costs to ensure financial control. - Approve and monitor time recordings and resource utilisation. - Support commercial discussions where required (e.g. change control, scope clarification). - Stakeholder & Customer Management - Act as the key point of contact for customers throughout project delivery. - Provide clear, structured, and timely communication to both internal and external stakeholders. - Delivery Support & Collaboration - Work collaboratively with technical delivery teams and support functions. - Support senior project managers on larger or more complex programmes. - Ensure effective handover to Managed Services where applicable. - Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives. - Pre-Sales Support - Assist Sales and Pre-Sales teams by providing input into project planning, timelines, and delivery approach. Qualifications - Experience delivering projects in the technology sector, ideally in modern cloud infrastructure. - Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills. - Proactive problem solver. - Clear understanding of project governance frameworks i.e. RAID, HLRs etc. - Strong budget and scope management skills. Role Description As a Tech Lead at ANS, you will be the “go to expert” in your technology field. You are empowered to make wide ranging and impactful technology decisions that you deliver against for ANS’ customers. You will be given the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, using the latest technologies and advancements, and lead a team of developers of varied experience levels. It's up to you how you split your time - you may spend around half of your time ‘on the tools’, cutting code, and reviewing peers and your team's work, and the rest building the profile of your products internally and externally. - Develop new and improved products and services based on technologies within your domain and in response to customer and business requirements. - Promote your thought processes and rationale behind decisions to the wider team. - Work with technical product managers to gather low level requirements for products and solutions. - Make reasoned, justifiable, research and evidence backed decisions. - Create user stories that accurately describe requirements, convey valuable information to developers, and drive successful business outcomes. - Perform any necessary technical discovery needed to understand business and customer problems and deliver successful solutions. - Understand the business outcome, identify what technology is required to achieve that outcome, and any constraints that apply. - Test the technical feasibility of proposed new products and solutions, with ultimate responsibility for architecting the product or solution. - Deliver those products and solutions to a point where they add value to both ANS and our customers. - Document any products and solutions so they can be used and consumed by customers and any relevant internal users. - Provide product or solution specific support, e.g., bugs. This does not include customer specific issues. - Ensure products and solutions meet industry best practices, any internal ANS standards, and any regulatory compliance requirements. - Ensure security risks are considered, identified, reduced, and mitigated when designing, developing, testing, and implementing new products & services. - Act as a champion for the products and solutions within your domain, building trust and evangelizing on new and existing services. - Represent your portfolio at the technical forums and steering committee with key stakeholders from the business. - Keep up to date with new developments and services within your domain and determine if new services can be developed from these. - Assign and track work to the developers and devops engineers you will be working with. - Be confident enough to say “I don’t know”; and passionate enough to do something about it. - Take responsibility for your technical decision making but know when to delegate and help others take accountability. - Know that done is better than perfect. Qualifications - Proven experience leading, coaching, or mentoring developers or consultants within delivery teams. - Hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions using: - Microsoft Power Platform - Dynamics 365 - Copilot Studio - Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions, working closely with non-technical stakeholders and delivery teams. - Strong understanding of architecture patterns, including scalability, environment strategy, and solution lifecycle management. - Knowledge of Dataverse data models, security roles, and integration patterns. - Understanding of Power Platform governance, including environments, DLP policies, ALM, and managed solutions. - Awareness of security, compliance, and risk considerations when designing business and AI-enabled solutions. - Experience operating within agile delivery models, contributing to discovery, user stories, technical feasibility, and sprint readiness.
