Role Description The Chief Information Security Officer is responsible for leading the organization’s enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management, and compliance program within a government contracting environment. This executive role is accountable for safeguarding Federal Contract Information and Controlled Unclassified Information, aligning security operations with business objectives, and ensuring readiness for customer, regulatory, and third-party assessments. The position requires demonstrated experience leading Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification implementation efforts and sustaining compliance with applicable Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk management, including senior leadership responsibility. - Direct experience in a government contracting, defense industrial base, or regulated federal environment. - Demonstrated experience leading or materially supporting Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification implementation, assessment readiness, and ongoing compliance sustainment. - Strong working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, security control assessment practices, and the protection of Controlled Unclassified Information. - Experience with DFARS cybersecurity requirements, security documentation, risk remediation planning, and supplier or third-party security oversight. - Experience maintaining system security plans, plans of action and milestones, compliance evidence, and executive-facing risk and compliance reporting. - Proven ability to communicate security, compliance, and business risk to executives, program leaders, auditors, and non-technical stakeholders. Requirements - Lead the enterprise cybersecurity strategy and operating model for a government contracting organization supporting federal and defense-related work. - Direct implementation, maturation, and sustainment of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program across the organization. - Oversee the protection of Federal Contract Information and Controlled Unclassified Information across systems, networks, cloud environments, endpoints, and third-party relationships. - Ensure alignment with applicable contractual, regulatory, and security requirements, including DFARS cybersecurity clauses and NIST-based control frameworks. - Lead development and maintenance of security governance, policies, standards, procedures, and evidence needed for assessments and audits. - Own enterprise assessment readiness, including system scoping, gap analysis, remediation planning, evidence collection, and executive reporting. - Oversee system security plans, plans of action and milestones, risk registers, and continuous monitoring activities. - Coordinate internal stakeholders, external assessors, managed service providers, and program teams to drive compliant and sustainable security operations. - Lead cyber incident response, escalation, reporting, recovery, and post-incident improvement activities in accordance with contractual and operational requirements. - Provide executive and board-level reporting on cyber risk, compliance posture, assessment readiness, and remediation progress. - Build and lead a high-performing security and compliance team capable of supporting growth, audit readiness, and secure contract execution. Role Description We are seeking a project based Network Support / Field Technician for an immediate need. We are looking for experienced technicians to execute short-term, “on-demand” tasks based on Government customer requirements at both CONUS and OCONUS installations. - Installing racks on raised floor tiles - Populating racks per elevation drawings - Performing grounding - Installing power cords - Installing structured cabling As a Network Support / Field Technician, your responsibilities will include: - Executing advanced IT de-installations and installations of IT racks, components, and cabling, including expert-level running, terminating, and testing of copper and fiber optic cables. - Participating in complex IT cabling installation tasks, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry best practices. - Troubleshooting and resolving complex cabling and connectivity issues independently, demonstrating a deep understanding of network integrity and performance. - Adhering to all safety protocols and site-specific procedures to ensure a safe working environment, especially when working at heights utilizing ladders and other equipment. - Communicating effectively with the project lead and team members regarding progress, challenges, and requirements, and contributing to project documentation. Qualifications - 2+ years of telecommunications/electronics vocational training or professional certification from an ABET accredited technical school or equivalent military school. - Certification: BICSI installer level 1 (INST1) certification or higher. Certification substitution is acceptable if the certifications include the equivalent areas of the BICSI certification, can be verified, and are current within the 3 years before the substitution. - 3+ years’ experience in two or more of the following specialties: - automation hardware - operating systems - automation security systems - server virtualization - videoconferencing - fiber optic cabling, audio / visual systems - network and systems management and control, media access / digital interfaces - software applications - Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) - system and/or network protocols - Previous experience in DoD IT projects. - Trained and certified in code compliance and warranties for installation IT equipment and materials. - An active DoD Secret Clearance is required. - Proven ability to work independently. - Ability to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and on-post driving privileges at Fort Huachuca and other CONUS Army installations. - Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Preferred Skills/Knowledge - BICSI installation level 2, Optical Fiber certification - Experience with SIPR network infrastructure or other classified network installations. - Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving system-level issues related to telecommunications cabling. - Strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment, often requiring independent judgment. - Expert proficiency in common testing equipment for network cabling and diagnostics. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and leadership. Physical Demands - Ability to stand for long periods of time. - Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance. - Ability to bend, squat, climb (ladders), and reach. - Repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. - Close visual acuity required for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer monitor, and extensive reading. - May be exposed to varying environmental conditions typical of construction or IT installation sites. The ideal candidate understands that a DoD proposal isn't just a document; it’s a high-stakes project requiring meticulous organization, a firm grasp of the FAR/DFARS, and the ability to keep diverse teams focused under tight deadlines. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and enjoys working with smart, driven teams to deliver high-quality proposals under pressure. This role requires someone who can keep multiple moving parts organized, communicate clearly with technical and executive stakeholders, and maintain momentum when proposal timelines accelerate. To be successful, you must be experienced and comfortable with keeping the proposal process moving through: - Chasing inputs - Keeping writers accountable - Spotting compliance gaps - Reminding people about page limits - Escalating issues early - Preventing schedule collapse Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - 3+ years of experience in federal proposal coordination, specifically supporting DoD contracts. - Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word (Styles, Templates, Tables) and Adobe Acrobat Pro. - Solid understanding of the Shipley Proposal Process and familiarity with FAR/DFARS requirements. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. - Comfort with "herding cats," holding senior personnel and stakeholders accountable to deadlines, and elevating schedule and performance issues to the Sr. Proposal Manager before they become serious. - Ability to obtain (or current possession of) a Secret security clearance is highly preferred. Requirements - Ability to stay organized and maintain a professional, solutions-based attitude during fast-paced proposal cycles and tight deadlines. - Perform continual active RFP/RFQ surveillance, including distribution of Q&As and modifications. - Lead the administrative aspects of the proposal and capture processes, including teaming agreement and data call coordination, kickoff meetings, color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold), and final production. - Support the deconstruction of RFPs/RFQs to create compliance matrices and proposal outlines that ensure every "shall" statement is addressed. - Take ownership of proposal schedules, proactively tracking actions and following up with contributors to ensure internal milestones are met. - Manage the proposal workspace (SharePoint, Teams, SalesForce, and Preveil), maintaining version control and ensuring security protocols for sensitive data are followed. - Format complex documents to meet strict RFP requirements regarding margins, fonts, and page limits. - Support final production and submissions activities to ensure a compliant, polished proposal package. - Coordinate responses to Evaluation Notices (ENs) and maintain a library of "evergreen" content (past performance, resumes, and corporate capabilities).
