Role Description We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Mexico. You will be joining a fast-paced, collaborative client services team supporting global and enterprise-level brands. The team is responsible for managing and delivering a wide range of creative, print, and POSM initiatives, partnering closely with internal studios, production teams, suppliers, and client stakeholders to bring projects to life from brief through execution. Role Description We are seeking a Senior VAT Specialist to be part of a global finance function supporting the aggressive growth plans of the business and offering excellent career opportunities. This role will be responsible for the preparation and timely filing of indirect tax returns in the UK and EU, helping to advise on correct VAT treatment for transactions as well as supporting the tax team and external advisers with our indirect tax compliance where needed. This is a remote role. Key Responsibilities - Preparation and submission of VAT returns, EC Sales lists, EC Purchase Lists and Intrastat returns across EMEA. - Sharing of timely information to our external consultants for VAT returns handled by 3rd party consultants. - Perform proper reconciliation of VAT Returns to ERP GL. - Management of follow up actions required with AP and AR. - Ensuring timely submission of SII information in Spain, carrying out the reconciliations and handling the errors. - Handling common queries from tax authorities as well as VAT audits. - Ensuring all VAT filings (including payments) are completed timely, maintaining a compliance calendar. - Responding to day-to-day VAT queries from the business; providing feedback and training to relevant teams as necessary. - VAT reconciliations for accounting for audit/ to inquire historic discrepancies. - Provide support to the Head of EMEA Tax on ad hoc projects and activities related to direct tax matters, as required. Qualifications - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in VAT compliance, preferably in large multi-nationals or in major accounting firms. - Prior experience in preparing UK and EU VAT returns, involving movements of goods in majority of our countries of operation. - Technical knowledge of UK and EU tax legislation, and compliance requirements. - Excellent knowledge of Excel. - Experience of SAGE would be helpful. - Highly organised with the ability to manage workload and deadlines independently. - Attention to detail and proactive approach.
