• The Business Development Officer (BDO) for the Deathcare / Funeral Home Lending segment is responsible for generating high‑quality loan production and expanding the Practice Finance portfolio nationally. • Focus on developing strategic relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and industry professionals across the Deathcare sector—including funeral homes, crematories, cemeteries, and related service providers. • Identifies prospective borrowers, evaluates financing needs, and delivers lending solutions that support business acquisition, expansion, real estate financing, succession, and other capital needs. • Leads national business development efforts within the Deathcare and Funeral Service industry, establishing a consistent pipeline of high‑quality loan opportunities. • Identifies, qualifies, develops, and maintains relationships with key COIs, including brokers, consultants, accountants, valuation firms, and trade groups. • Manages an active pipeline of loan opportunities, ensuring timely progression from inquiry through underwriting and funding. • Works closely with internal stakeholders including underwriting, credit, operations, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure efficient execution and exceptional client experience.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in Business Banking, Commercial Lending, or Specialty Lending with demonstrated success in business development.
- Strong understanding of IRS tax documentation, financial statements, and personal/business financial analysis.
- Ability to analyze cash flow and communicate financial insights clearly to clients and referral partners.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across a national market.
