• Program development: Contribute to the design of the Master’s program in Additive Manufacturing and support student recruitment. • Masterclasses and expert seminars: Deliver live sessions in English on Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Finite Element Methods (FEM), virtual prototyping, and digital twins. • Student supervision and assessment formats: Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support for project and research work; design and evaluate portfolio assessments, examinations, and Master’s theses. • Applied research: Conduct practice-oriented research and transfer projects in numerical simulation, computer-aided design, and digital product validation—in cooperation with industry and research institutions. • Funding and collaboration: Initiate research collaborations and secure third-party funding to strengthen applied research at our university. • Publications and presentations: Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals and present at relevant conferences, representing the university at professional and industry events. • Technology transfer: Willingness to participate in research-driven product development, spin-offs/start-up initiatives, and patent filings. • University development: Participate in academic self-governance, contribute to curriculum design, and engage in international collaborations.
Job Requirements
- Completed university degree.
- Teaching and didactic aptitude, demonstrated through practical experience.
- Proven ability to conduct independent scholarly work, typically evidenced by an above-average doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Significant achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods totaling at least five years of professional experience, of which at least three years must have been outside the higher education sector—ideally in product development, simulation technologies, or digital prototyping.
- Ability and willingness to teach, research, and engage in transfer activities in English.
- Willingness to further develop and expand higher-education didactic skills—particularly in (generative) AI-assisted teaching.
- Teaching motivation: Commitment to developing and applying new didactic formats in engineering education.
- Interdisciplinary openness: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues in additive manufacturing, materials science, robotics, and AI.
- Practice and transfer orientation: Experience in industry projects, ideally related to Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), Finite Element Methods (FEM), or digital twin applications.
- International perspective: Experience in international contexts or a motivation to integrate global trends in engineering education and simulation into teaching and research.
- Commitment to institutional development: Willingness to actively shape the founding and growth of a new university.
- Research profile: Visible research focus in computational engineering, simulation technologies, or next-generation design processes.
- Knowledge transfer: Understanding of research as a bridge between academia, industry, and society.
