Role Description The Demand Development Strategist is an outbound-focused hunter responsible for generating qualified pipeline through disciplined prospecting and CRM execution. This early-career role supports Datascan’s demand engine by driving new business conversations, maintaining high data integrity within D365, and selectively closing small SMB opportunities. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Demand Operations and plays a critical role in fueling predictable revenue growth. Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation - Execute structured outbound campaigns via phone, email, and LinkedIn - Generate qualified meetings for Account Executives - Identify and engage net-new retail prospects aligned to defined ICPs - Maintain consistent daily activity levels CRM Discipline & Data Integrity - Log all outbound activity accurately in D365 - Maintain clean and accurate account and contact records - Follow defined lead routing and qualification standards - Ensure complete visibility of pipeline activity SMB Opportunity Support - Manage and close smaller SMB opportunities where appropriate - Support deal progression through defined pipeline stages - Coordinate handoffs to senior sellers when required Process & Continuous Improvement - Demonstrate genuine curiosity in understanding Datascan’s technology, inventory solutions, and go-to-market processes - Actively seek ways to leverage AI and sales technology to improve outreach efficiency, personalization, and pipeline generation - Provide structured feedback on messaging, objections, and market insights to strengthen demand programs - Participate in pipeline reviews and performance tracking with a mindset of learning and optimization - Contribute to continuous improvement of outbound strategy, campaign execution, and CRM effectiveness Success Metrics - Outbound activity volume and consistency - Meetings booked and pipeline generated - Meeting-to-opportunity conversion rates - CRM accuracy and compliance - SMB deal closures (as applicable) Qualifications - 1–3 years of inside sales, BDR, or outbound prospecting experience - Strong outbound hunter mindset with comfort initiating cold outreach - High proficiency with CRM systems (D365 preferred) and disciplined activity logging - Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., generative AI, sequencing tools, call intelligence platforms) to enhance outreach effectiveness - Experience leveraging sales technology to improve efficiency, targeting, and personalization - Exposure to structured campaign execution and outbound sequencing frameworks - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Self-motivated, disciplined, coachable, and resilient - Fluent English speaker; additional language skills a plus Career Path - Demand Development Representative II - Regional Account Executive I - Manager Sales I Full Time/Part Time Full time (40 hours per week) Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt Work Location and Hours Remote Physical Requirements Ability to travel as required, internationally when required.
