What you’ll do: - Own features end-to-end, from design through implementation, rollout, and iteration in close partnership with Product and our Experience (front-end) team. - Navigate ambiguous problems and find a clear path forward; take initiative rather than waiting for complete specs. - Contribute to a product-driven roadmap with real deadlines: help the team prioritize tradeoffs and ship iteratively rather than waiting for perfect. - Extend Chainguard's agentic AI foundation into customer-facing product experiences across the full product suite. - Bring a strong technical point of view to architectural decisions and a collaborative spirit when working through them with the team. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 10+ years of experience in software development. - Expertise with containers, artifact registries, Docker, Kubernetes and its greater ecosystem. - Experience building and securing CI/CD systems. - Proficiency with Go (Golang) or strong readiness to ramp quickly. - Experience with AI tooling and a genuine enthusiasm for applying it to complex problems. - Enthusiasm to work closely with the Product team and customers to launch new features. - Strong communication skills, proficiency in English, ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and seek help proactively when necessary. • Design System Evolution: Actively contribute to building, maintaining, and governing the corporate Design System by developing reusable, scalable, and accessible components to unify the engineering and design experience across squads. • Technical Leadership and Standards: Contribute proactively to the development of new applications, techniques, and coding standards, fostering the creation of guidelines and best practices. • Solving Complex Problems: Develop creative solutions for challenges that require innovation, ensuring that deliveries are aligned with the area’s strategic objectives. • Quality Culture: Raise the level of code reviews, follow defined standards, and seek external references for continuous improvement. • Operational Excellence (Troubleshooting): Assist in resolving critical incidents, provide technical support to other developers, drive monitoring efforts, and promote a post‑mortem culture. • Project and Value Management: Review epics and projects to ensure incremental value deliveries. • Institutional Representation: Act as the technical point of contact for projects and contracts, interacting with external partners and coordinating requests between organizations when necessary.

• Own the numerical solutions and mathematical/computer science algorithms underlying GoldSim's simulation engine - from the theoretical foundation (equations, algorithm design) through to implementation in our C++ codebase. • Push practical, real-world improvements to GoldSim's numerical capabilities, and propose new features driven by everyday or discipline-specific customer needs. • Participate in design discussions across the full development lifecycle, not just the mathematical layer. • Build GoldSim models that apply and exercise the platform's numerical capabilities - for QA and verification, as example models shipped with the product, and in direct support of customers. • Use hands-on model-building as a primary way to validate that new or improved algorithms behave correctly in practice. • Document both the theoretical basis (equations, algorithm descriptions) and the practical implementation of GoldSim's numerical methods, so this knowledge isn't concentrated in one person. • Partner with the founding engineer to formalize existing modeling, QA, and support methodology. • Work alongside the software engineering team to integrate new or improved numerical capabilities into the broader platform. • Translate business and product requirements into technical specifications. • Serve as a technical resource for customer support and QA on advanced modeling and numerical questions. • Communicate technical/mathematical concepts clearly to engineers, QA, and product stakeholders. • Bring curiosity for modern computational approaches - including applying machine learning to accelerate, approximate, or extend traditional numerical simulation methods. • Help identify opportunities to modernize GoldSim's existing algorithmic infrastructure.
