Strategic Sourcing Director, OFCI Equipment
Switch
• Lead and develop a team responsible for sourcing electrical, mechanical, modular, and related OFCI equipment. • Set and execute category strategies that support long-range capacity planning, cost control, and growth targets. • Build and maintain a multi-sourced supplier network that supports reliability, innovation, and scale. • Own commercial strategy, including contract structures, pricing models, and supplier performance standards. • Establish should-cost models and lead negotiations that improve cost, terms, and lifecycle value. • Partner with Design, Construction, Operations, and Supply Chain Execution to align sourcing plans with build schedules and lead times. • Provide oversight for Vendor Managed Inventory programs and equipment delivery performance. • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, obsolescence, and supplier performance issues. • Manage OFCI budgets and lead value engineering efforts without compromising quality or reliability. • Ensure sourcing activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards. • Communicate clearly with executives and stakeholders on progress, risks, and key performance indicators.
Job Requirements
- Deep experience sourcing mechanical, electrical, modular, or data center specific equipment and services.
- Proven leadership of sourcing or supply chain teams with responsibility for supplier strategy and performance.
- Strong knowledge of OFCI procurement models and contract structures.
- Experience developing category strategies and managing supplier negotiations.
- Ability to lead cross-functional programs tied to capital projects.
- Experience with Vendor Managed Inventory or similar inventory optimization models (Nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with ERP systems, project controls, and supply chain analytics tools (Nice-to-have).
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or mission-critical environments (Nice-to-have).
