Principal Network Engineer

• Partners with Engineering, Development, QA, and Program/Project Management peers to translate caregiver, business and technical requirements into components of a service architecture. • Creates and identifies standards and best practices and is responsible for building and implementing required architecture in partnership with other IS engineering teams. • Designs components of a service delivery system that defines tools, hardware, processes, role assignments, dependencies, and documentation. • Creates detailed project plans including milestones, testing, documentation and implementation. • Communicates with stakeholders and applies advanced diagnostic expertise to restore service with minimal disruption to the caregiver and business. • During service disruptions and degradations, owns the problem, solving it once and for all. • Extrapolates from past experiences and delivers innovations. • Actively takes part in disaster recovery drills. • Owns the design, implementation, testing, and management of alerting and telemetry systems, and disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Management, or closely related.
- 8 years experience (or 5 years with Master’s degree) as a Network Engineer, including at least 2 years experience in the healthcare industry.
- 8 years experience (or 5 years with Master’s degree) in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes.
- 8 years experience (or 5 years with Master’s degree) with scripting with one of PowerShell, Perl, Ansible, VB Script, Python, SQL.
- 8 years experience (or 5 years with Master’s degree) with n-tier solutions.
- 8 years experience (or 5 years with Master’s degree) with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually).
- Past professional experience influencing engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations.
- Past professional experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standups to establish appropriate prioritization of Live Site requirements.
- 8 years experience (or 5 years with Master’s degree) leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Strong experience in advanced problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis.

We have openings for a Master Network Installation Specialist that performs highly detailed technical tasks, leads Network Installation Technician field teams in the performance of site activities, and is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing complex IT solutions to meet the organization’s technological needs. This role requires a strong background in system implementation architecture and a deep understanding of various IT infrastructure components. Responsibilities - Planning and completion of complex and detailed technical projects from survey and engineering to site implementation - Develop and maintain high standards of installation and service, and assist with leading, training, and counseling network installation technicians toward high performance - Serve as a technical knowledge resource to project managers and field technicians - Work directly with project managers as the first line of communication for the field installation teams supporting the PM’s project(s) - Take responsibility for the development and quality assessment of all field deliverables prior to being formally submitted to the SME or project manager - Maintain accountability for the task-oriented work efforts of project assigned personnel - Help ensure engineering schedules are met or exceeded - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive IT implementation designs Training and Implementation - Lead the implementation and deployment of IT systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards - Responsible for physical onsite network surveys to determine the engineering solution for each project assigned - Responsible for providing client-site network installations support of hardware, including installation of entire service delivery nodes, as prescribed by Site Engineering Solution (SES) documentation - Prepare and provide complex site reports, documents, diagrams and VISIO drawings as required to meet customer deliverable requirements.
