Growing together The C&S Strategy and Operations Capability Manager will partner with Strategic Portfolio leads, IT, Health Plan and Regulatory Teams, Operation Leads, and other internal cross functional partners to drive improvements of existing digital technology solutions to deliver a best-in-class experience to our C&S membership across various platforms and tools. This position contributes to the intake and evaluation of IT requests based on C&S strategic and regulatory priorities to identify business needs and translate into specific requirements. These requests will be both identified by candidate through data driven knowledge and relationship building, as well as through leadership internal capability owners, senior leadership, and health plans. Following a capability management discipline, this role will leverage C&S Common Intake request intake, prioritization, and IT Agile processes, and will support the phases of Agile IT software development including initiation, design, and testing. This role will work with product owners and business stakeholders to gather, develop, document, write and validate business needs, requirements and specifications. Collaborates with teams to identify the most effective way to meet business needs when considering all variables, which at times may include non-IT solutions. Will also work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and resolve business, data and process issues within the team. This position is also responsible for researching and analyzing data and business processes via quantitative and qualitative analysis for requirements development and to support solutioning. Collaborates with project stakeholders and technical teams regarding enhancements, changes, issues and defects that may impact development, data, workflow and/or functionality. This role requires analyzing and contributing to capability development business processes and improvements, and supports preparation and development of capability business benefit cases for leadership approval. He or she will also lead cross-functional meetings and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders on capability strategies, related activities, challenges and opportunities. • As a Financial Consultant, you will lead complex financial and operational analyses and drive informed, strategic decision-making. • You will develop resolutions to issues and broad design matters of moderate to high degree of complexity to address business needs within our Financial Planning & Analysis function. • Serving as a trusted advisor, you will identify trends and implement innovative solutions that support sustainable, profitable growth. • Partner with senior business leaders to support strategic decision-making through ongoing business development with Commercial leadership team and cross-functional partners. • Assess key assumptions, risks, and opportunities, translating financial impacts into actionable insights and complex financial models that ensure investments drive profitable growth. • Lead the Commercial Lines division quarterly forecasting and planning process, collaborating cross-functionally to develop comprehensive financial plans and operational expense budgets. • Communicate clear, data-driven insights into forecasts and plans to inform performance management and strategic priorities. • Lead management and Board of Directors (BOD) reporting, including complex analyses of the Commercial Lines P&L, Balance Sheet, Reinsurance, and operational expenses. • Support FP&A transformation initiatives by developing resolutions to enhance insights, improve efficiency, and strengthen tools and processes across the organization. • Use analytical skills to identify problems and develop solutions, with a focus on data-driven insights.

• Manage the budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, and accounting operations to ensure compliance and accurate reporting • Oversee Financial Analysts’ preparation and distribution of financial reporting packages • Work with Financial Analysts and department stakeholders to evaluate departments’ reporting needs • Lead quarterly meetings with Associate Deans and Directors to discuss budgetary impacts • Manage Annual Budget Submission and ensure compliance with policies • Oversee document processing needs related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, and contracts • Establish processes to periodically review and test controls • Hold weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports to discuss work-related issues

• Develop, analyze, and monitor budgets, ensuring adherence to School and University requirements. • Prepare and deliver monthly budget analysis reports, including variance explanations and recommendations. • Present financial reports to Associate Deans and Directors on a periodic basis. • Analyze income and expenses, identify opportunities for efficient operation, and ensure compliance with financial policies. • Provide guidance and training to department personnel, reconcile accounts for accuracy.
