Role Description - Experience with AVEVA OMI to create visual applications (ViewApps) that incorporate the functionality needed by both operational and information technology teams in a production environment. - Research existing SCADA systems and equipment to determine requirements. - Develop SCADA templates, scripting, and graphics in AVEVA System Platform to customer requirements and stringent standards. - Establish communications with a wide variety of equipment using Modbus, BACNet, OPC-UA, and a variety of other communications protocols. - Perform commissioning tasks such as IO checkout and developing and executing test plans. - Participate in lessons-learned, document processes, and update standards to improve the implementation process. - Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, updating customer and internal task tracking tools, and providing status updates in a timely manner. Qualifications - BS in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Mechanical) or equivalent experience. - 3-5 years of relevant experience. - Experience with one or more SCADA platforms such as AVEVA System Platform, FactoryTalk View, or Ignition. - Working understanding of industrial communications protocols such as Modbus, OPC-UA, or BACNet. - PLC programming or building management system experience is a plus.

Overview We are designing the grid of the future! The SCADA Engineer Staff III will provide expertise in onsite and remote configuration, programming, and testing of SCADA, Automation and Network equipment for wide variety of projects including substations, Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), large scale renewables including storage, solar and wind projects, distribution recloser controllers as well as SCADA RTUs, network switches, routers, firewall, and radios. Responsibilities How you can make an impact: - Attend remote or onsite testing activities throughout USA especially Texas - Configure and Program equipment related to SCADA, Automation, and Network including RTUs, Network Switches, Routers, Firewalls, and HMI. - Perform remote and onsite testing and checkout of the listed equipment. - Program SEL-RTAC for different purposes including substation RTU, EMS, NERC PRC-028 compliance, and microgrid controller. - Program SCADA HMI and other interfaces using SCADA Ignition platform - Program network switches and routers manufactured by Cisco, Meraki, and SEL - Design IP and DNP schemes throughout the substation and implement remotely and onsite - Prepare SCADA point lists and checkout SCADA systems - Perform site visits to collect data of the SCADA, automation, and network equipment. Qualifications Bring your passion, here's what’s needed: - Bachelor's Degree or post-secondary diploma in related field - 3+ years' experience in SCADA and network engineering and onsite work. - Familiar with protection and control drawings including single lines, three lines, DC schematics, panel drawings, wiring diagrams, and bill of material. - Previous experience in troubleshooting SCADA and network settings in the field - Extensive experience with SEL-RTAC, Cisco, and Meraki equipment - Experienced in programming firewalls - Experienced in creating test plans and test procedures - Experienced in conducting safe work onsite being OSHA and NETA certified - Ability to work near energized electrical equipment which may also involve extremely tall structures such as distribution poles. - Capable of testing in areas with limited access. - Ability to drive across USA and hold a valid driver license - Authorized to work in USA for at least two years.
