Financial System Analyst
Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI)
• Lead the architectural design, roadmap planning, and governance for Costpoint and its integrations with enterprise systems. • Serve as the highest-level technical authority for Costpoint configurations, data models, security design, workflows, and custom solutions. • Design, build, and maintain integrations between Costpoint and internal/external systems (HRIS, financial systems, procurement tools, data warehouses, etc.). Architect scalable, secure integration frameworks using APIs, middleware, ETL pipelines, and event-driven processes. • Develop SQL and PL/SQL scripts to support reporting, data validation, performance tuning, and system automation. • Serve as the primary liaison with Deltek Support to engineer resolutions, manage escalations, and investigate complex issues. • Troubleshoot integration failures, data discrepancies, and system performance challenges, ensuring effective and timely resolution. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Payroll, HR, IT, Procurement, Program Control) to gather requirements and deliver scalable, reliable technical solutions aligned with strategic business objectives. • Support system upgrades, patches, enhancements, and related data interface updates. • Maintain strong data integrity across systems through robust testing, documentation, quality controls, and monitoring practices. • Provide technical leadership and best practices for Costpoint integrations, database optimization, system architecture, and change management processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree with 10 years related experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint, including configuration, data structures, workflows, integrations, and reporting.
- Expert-level SQL and PL/SQL skills, including query optimization, performance tuning, complex troubleshooting, and advanced reporting techniques.
- Strong experience architecting integrations using APIs, web services, middleware platforms, or cloud-based integration technologies.
- Working knowledge of database platforms such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Deep understanding of enterprise finance, and procurement workflows in Costpoint.
- Proven ability to design and lead implementations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
