Role Description As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for day-to-day payroll processing for approximately 2,000 employees across multiple locations. You will play a key role in supporting a large project involving Workday and ERP systems, assisting employees with system-related queries, and ensuring accurate wage calculations. - Process weekly payroll, including templates, commissions, and bonuses. - Ensure time cards are approved and one-time payments are issued by Monday afternoon. - Handle payroll corrections and final settlements. - Generate and send final reports to various locations. - Prepare for upcoming payroll cycles, including report setup in Workday and checklist management. - Perform administrative tasks such as managing garnishments, child support orders, and verification of employment (VOEs). - Use Excel templates for processing and a ticketing system for managing inquiries with a focus on detail-oriented work. Qualifications - End-to-end payroll processing experience for large volumes (500-1,000+ employees). - Multi-state payroll experience. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Experience with ticketing systems for managing inquiries. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. - Ability to work remotely. Requirements - Some understanding of prevailing wage is beneficial. - Proficiency in Excel features such as pivot tables and XLOOKUP. - Experience with Workday preferred but not strictly necessary. - Ability to download/save PDFs, generate reports, and follow checklists.
