• You will be a part of our Design and Engineering team, working closely with our external sales teams, becoming the ‘go-to’ for technical design advice. • Collaborate closely with colleagues across Specification, Key Contractor Management, Account Management and the wider Sales team to provide technical solutions that help customers achieve their commercial project goals. • Meet with our wide range of customers and internal stakeholders to provide design advice. • Develop engineering-led pavement solutions for a wide variety of commercial developments, supporting projects from concept through to construction. • Influence material selection, pavement design, installation methodology and long-term performance. • Create technical proposals, build and deliver engineering-focused CPD presentations and provide support to the resolution of on-site issues. • Support the development of new products, systems and design methodology and share your knowledge and best practice.

• Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents. • Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for fire alarm and fire suppression systems. • Carry out site surveys and perform material take-offs and labour calculations. • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. • Analyse project risks, costs, and scheduling requirements. • Support project managers during project handover and execution. • Design fire alarm and suppression systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards. • Produce detailed system layouts and installation drawings using AutoCAD. • Prepare equipment schedules and technical submissions. • Coordinate system designs with architects, consultants, engineers, and contractors. • Review and revise drawings based on client comments and site conditions. • Provide engineering support during installation, testing, and commissioning.

Role Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work remotely. The candidate will have design integration experience with shipboard mechanical systems and will be a valuable member of an engineering team providing vessel construction management of research ships. This is a fully remote position which may require some travel. - Provide technical evaluation of vendors' proposed system designs. - Assess design maturity and expected performance of systems to meet operational requirements. - Write technical papers on the technical risk of systems meeting USCG/ABS design standards. - Demonstrate personal experience designing or using onboard piping systems (hydraulics, ships auxiliaries, HVAC, fuel distribution, water production, etc). - Perform cost estimation of proposed ship construction changes. - Conduct site visits to perform root cause analysis of shipboard failures. Salary range is based on years of experience: $55,000-$125,000 (actual compensation depends on overall experience). Qualifications - BS degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering. - Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass and obtain a Public Trust clearance. - 4+ years’ experience in the shipbuilding industry in the mechanical engineering discipline. - Ability to perform requirements analysis; concept design and development; feasibility studies; and systems integration. - Knowledge of industry construction standards for mechanical systems. - Ability to review/modify drawings and have good technical writing skills. - Thorough understanding of ABS, USCG, and other regulatory agencies' rules as it pertains to shipboard systems. - Ability to work remotely/independently with minimal supervision.
