Role Description - Responsible for working with fellow mechanical engineering team members for project execution support. - Perform mechanical engineering tasks and calculations for oil and gas projects inclusive of: - Pipe sizing and pressure loss calculations - Create piping specifications and CAD files in CADWorx - P&IDs creation and review - Engineering evaluations - Review & preparation of line lists & equipment lists - Perform basic CADD drafting - Review of bill of materials (BOM) - Duties also include preparing of equipment data sheets, equipment specifications, equipment design and development, updating and maintaining construction documents, preparing and reviewing MRQs / RFQs. - Interpret and review Models, piping plans, piping sections and piping isometrics. - Identify, interpret and apply relevant codes and standards to engineering designs. - Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, clients, and other disciplines. - Ability to travel to support field work activities periodically (including site commissioning). - Ability to analyze, define, and solve problems. - Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent international engineering degree required (e.g. Ingenieria Mecánica). - Experience with common O&G facilities including: compressor stations, liquid and gas storage, tank batteries, plant and metering facilities. - Ideally 5+ years of experience in oil and gas or closely related industry. - Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional and project-based environment. - Experience supporting U.S. based companies and projects remotely. Role Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work remotely. The candidate will have design integration experience with shipboard mechanical systems and will be a valuable member of an engineering team providing vessel construction management of research ships. This is a fully remote position which may require some travel. - Provide technical evaluation of vendors' proposed system designs. - Assess design maturity and expected performance of systems to meet operational requirements. - Write technical papers on the technical risk of systems meeting USCG/ABS design standards. - Demonstrate personal experience designing or using onboard piping systems (hydraulics, ships auxiliaries, HVAC, fuel distribution, water production, etc). - Perform cost estimation of proposed ship construction changes. - Conduct site visits to perform root cause analysis of shipboard failures. Salary range is based on years of experience: $55,000-$125,000 (actual compensation depends on overall experience).
