We are currently looking for candidates located within 60 miles of any of the listed hubs to foster more in-person connections while maintaining our flexible remote culture. Overview of Department The Land Acquisitions team operates primarily across the ERCOT and SPP markets, supporting a diverse portfolio of renewable energy and infrastructure projects including wind, solar, battery energy storage, oil, gas & minerals (OGM), transmission, and data centers. The team is responsible for the full project development lifecycle, from early-stage strategy through the start of construction, with a primary focus on site selection, land acquisition, and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and long-term economic value. Working cross-functionally with technical and commercial subject matter experts, the team plays a critical role in advancing large-scale development opportunities. About the Role We are seeking a motivated Land Acquisition Associate to support real estate workstreams across multiple large-scale renewable energy projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Land Acquisition and partnering closely with the Development team, you will contribute to land acquisition campaigns, site control activities, project tracking, and stakeholder coordination throughout the development process. What You'll Do - Support the land acquisition process from site due diligence through execution of site control agreements, including assisting with title, survey, financing, and construction-related activities. - Assist with the development of wind, solar, battery storage, and other real estate projects from early-stage strategy through financial close and construction. - Manage day-to-day administration of land documentation, GIS tools, project trackers, budgets, schedules, and development databases. - Support the negotiation and administration of land agreements, including leases, purchase agreements, easements, surface waivers, and other site control documents. - Coordinate and oversee third-party land agents and document specialists, including auditing reports, monitoring compliance, and managing document workflows across multiple acquisition campaigns. - Maintain internal site control trackers and Power BI reporting tools to provide project updates and progress reporting across the organization. - Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners, community stakeholders, and project partners to support successful project development. - Assist in preparing land acquisition budgets, executive presentations, and reporting materials. - Provide ongoing support to the Managers, Director, and Head of Land Acquisition. What You'll Bring - Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field. - 1+ years of experience in real estate, renewable energy, finance, management consulting, or a related industry. - 1+ years of project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organizational and relationship management abilities. - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with data analysis or financial modeling tools. - Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment. - Familiarity with land use, environmental policy, renewable energy development, or real estate transactions is preferred. - Experience with Google Earth, GIS software, Power BI, or similar mapping and reporting tools is a plus. - A passion for renewable energy and contributing to the energy transition.
