Job Description
Senior Program Manager
Mirantis
Role Description Mirantis is looking for a Senior Program Manager to drive our most important initiatives through the full Concept, Commit, and Execution lifecycle, centered on k0rdent AI, our control plane for GPU infrastructure and distributed AI workloads. You will shepherd programs from early concept shaping, through cross-functional commitment on scope and resourcing, to disciplined execution and delivery, working across R&D, Engineering, Product Management, and Sales. This is a senior, executive-facing role in a highly technical domain. You will earn the trust of engineers and product leaders by understanding the substance of what they are building. The people you work with do not report to you, so results come from influence: building alignment, listening well, and bringing teams along rather than pushing them. The ideal candidate combines that collaborative approach with an insistence on outcomes, keeping programs honest about where they stand and moving them forward. Responsibilities - Drive strategic programs through the Concept, Commit, and Execution process: shaping and pressure-testing initiatives at the concept stage, securing cross-functional commitment on scope, resourcing, and timelines, and running execution through delivery. - Keep programs aligned across R&D, Engineering, Product Management, and Sales, connecting technical delivery to commercial outcomes and making sure each function knows what it owes and when. - Coordinate closely with other program managers across the organization, gathering their inputs, resolving overlaps and dependencies between programs, and rolling status up into a coherent picture of where the portfolio stands. - Present program status, risks, and decision points to executive leadership with clarity and candor, framing options and recommendations rather than surprises. - Run the operating cadence for your programs: milestone tracking, risk and dependency management, decision logs, and reporting that surfaces problems early enough to fix them. - Improve how Mirantis runs programs, refining the Concept, Commit, and Execution process itself and contributing templates, standards, and practices that other program managers adopt. Qualifications - 8+ years in program management or technical program management for enterprise infrastructure software, with a record of carrying complex initiatives from concept through delivery. - Technical background sufficient for a highly technical domain: you can follow architecture discussions, ask credible questions of engineers, engage credibly on the technical content of your programs, ideally across Kubernetes, GPU infrastructure, cloud platforms, or adjacent systems. - Demonstrated success driving results through influence in matrixed organizations, aligning stakeholders who do not report to you across engineering, product, and go-to-market functions. - Experience working within and improving structured program lifecycles, such as concept-to-commit-to-execution, stage-gate, or similar frameworks. - Strong collaboration instincts paired with accountability for outcomes: you bring teams along, and programs you run finish. - Exceptional written and verbal communication across audiences, from engineering deep dives to executive presentations, framing tradeoffs and representing program health with candor. Requirements - Prior hands-on technical role (engineering, solutions architecture, or similar) before moving into program management strongly preferred. - PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification, or a track record that makes certification irrelevant. Benefits - Operate some of the most advanced AI infrastructure environments in production today. - Work with the latest NVIDIA GPU technologies, Kubernetes platforms, and high-performance networking environments. - Help define operational standards and reliability practices for next-generation AI infrastructure services. - Influence the adoption of AI-powered operational capabilities through k0rdent AI. - Work alongside highly skilled engineers solving complex infrastructure and platform challenges at scale. - Join a growing organisation investing heavily in AI infrastructure, platform services, and operational innovation. - Salary range is expected to be between USD $180,000 and USD $260,000 per year.
