In conjunction with the CFO, this key leadership role is responsible budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, investment portfolio management, liquidity, interest rate risk and strategic analysis of the credit union. Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure business objectives and funding activities are met. Reviews analysis results, develops insightful suggestions for investments, balance sheet strategies, and leads strategic business decisions. Responsible for interest rate risk reporting, annual budgeting, forecasting liquidity, developing and maintaining pricing loan and deposit processes, variance reporting and analysis, managing profitability at multiple levels (Product, Member, Branch, Departments), and developing financial models to assist with new products or services. Works closely with the Controller to establish banking and funding relationships as well as ensure accounting and reporting processes are in place to support management of and monitoring of the credit union’s daily liquidity position. Adds value to the Credit Union by providing accurate analysis, budgeting, forecasting, ALM modeling, and maintaining a cost of funds and investment return that meets business objectives. Works closely with the VP of Products to ensure pricing of the credit union products exhibit an acceptable return. Leads with an expectation of teamwork & collaboration with internal business partners across the organization and viewed as role models for the organization. Responsibilities: - Recommends and executes profitability metrics and strategy to deliver business line results that meet credit union needs. - Manages Investment Portfolio and executes strategies as determined by ALCO. - Work with business partners and department heads to coordinate annual budget and variance reporting. - Manage liquidity and funding positions to meet loan demand and deposit obligations. - Leads the Finance Team for development and use of forecasting models to identify, measure and monitor risk and opportunities. - Establishes pricing models and guidelines with business partners to ensure positive economic results for loan and deposit activities. - Leads the Management ALCO and works closely with the CFO to ensure safe and sound management of the credit union’s balance sheet. - Develops and executes balance sheet transactions to improve financial results and mitigate interest rate risk, liquidity risk and strategic risk. - Monitors performance indicators and credit union trends to analyze the drivers of financial performance, - Monitors regional deposit markets to efficiently source funding. - Monitors performance, provides ongoing performance feedback and coaching to direct reports, indirect reports and others as needed, and conducts performance & development conversations as well as effective performance evaluations. - Expects and enables team members to support the works of peers. - Provide appropriate communications and updates to upline leaders pertaining to areas of responsibilities. - Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities. - Represents the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner. - Maintains member, team members and other sensitive information with confidentiality. - Treats co-workers and members with respect. - Supports, participates and volunteers in credit union member community activities, member relations and events that promotes member centric experiences. - Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: - 7-10 years of supervision and management level functions of finance and treasury responsibilities. - Experience with investment portfolio management preferably in financial institutions. - Profitability measurement and modeling. - Strong finance background and knowledge of banking operations and portfolio management - Strong management and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff, organizational skills. - Strong analytical and problem resolution capabilities. - Presentation skills and self-starter. - Business Acumen, Process Management, Negotiating, Conflict Management, Developing Direct Reports, Motivating Others, Strong Verbal and Written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - 10+ years with a larger, regionally organized financial institution - Exposure to executive level interaction and reporting preferred - MBA Finance - Master’s Degree or 7 or more years related experience and/or training or combination of education/experience. - Experience working at a larger financial institution. - Experience working for an organization with a regional model including some matrix reporting structure. Education: - CPA, CFA, or CMA - Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, in order to acquire the technical background necessary to perform assigned duties and a professional certification or graduate degree. The Role The VP of Finance & Corporate Development is a strategic, execution-oriented leader responsible for overseeing Linktree’s global finance organization end-to-end.
