Senior Business Analyst - Financial Instruments Data Location Allmendstrasse 140 8041 Zurich Switzerland Work arrangement Full-time A bit about the role As Senior Business Analyst you will be a key member of Avaloq’s Banking Operations division, acting as a functional lead within the Asset Data Sourcing team. Banking Operations serves as the back office for more than 30 banks globally, ensuring efficient, compliant, and reliable processing across the Avaloq banking platform. The Asset Data Sourcing team is responsible for the integration, mapping, governance, and distribution of financial instruments master data. In this role, you will take ownership of data sourcing activities for Avaloq’s global Financial Instruments Master Data Service (Asset Hub) and support the operational and strategic leadership of the team. Your key tasks - Overall responsibility and organization of Asset Data Sourcing service operations, as Senior Business Analyst - Support team leadership through planning, prioritization and act as a senior escalation point for complex data, client, or vendor-related issues - Overall Planning and implementation of asset, issuer, pricing etc. data migration projects - Design and maintain complex business rules, mappings and specifications for successful releases - Engaging with our clients in the capturing of their requirements and implementation (business analysis, functional specification, testing and releasing) - Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Banking Operations, IT, Product, and regional teams to deliver client-specific solutions within our Master Data Services - As part of the vendor & change management, you will coordinate with data providers (with SIX Financial but also Bloomberg) and advise our internal data consumers on feed topics (VDFS/FLEX) and content - In-depth knowledge of data vendor SIX Financial Information in the context of (VDFS) data feeds in the light of being a Service Facilitator towards SIX FI A bit about you - A proven IT or business qualification combined with a strong banking or financial services background - Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in reference and market data management (e.g. Asset Hub of a Bank) - Strong hands-on experience in financial instruments, master data, data delivery, Data modelling and target-system mapping - In-depth knowledge in the SIX Financial Information data feed (VDF/VDFS) management of financial data content and data delivery - A solid experience of the Enterprise Data Management system "Temenos DataSource” (TDS) is a mandatory - Experience in TDS rule engine, configuration, customization and data modelling is highly desirable - Practical knowledge in SQL.
